Chapter 19

"Shorts.." she says blushing

I unbutton her shorts and hand them to her and with one arm she shimmies them on.

Now it's her shirt and I hand her a aqua colored tank-top.

"Alright.. well...how do you want me to help you?" I ask looking into her eyes

" Just slide it over my head and then I can get my right arm through and then you could help me put my left arm through.." she says

With one hand she pulls the gown off while wincing and just stares into my eyes.

Soon it's off.

Jesus Christ.

Fuck.

Soon she realizes that I'm staring at her when she's only in her shorts and a black bra.

"This hurts so bad" she says whispering

Soon I help her with her shirt and we continue to stare into each other's eyes.

"Thanks" she whispers

"It's no problem" I say with a slight smile

Our faces are so close. It's almost like we're about to kiss

"Your so beautiful.." I say whispering in her ear

She almost speaks until the nurse comes in.

"Your dad has signed the release papers" the nurse says

"Okay" Alex says

While we're walking out the nurse stops Alex

"Remember what I said" the nurse 'Keylasha' says

"I will" Alex says smiling

What?

As soon as we out of the door we see Mr.Carter drinking coffee.

"Niall, I was wondering if you could take care of Alex. I trust you and I'm behind on my work for today"

"Sounds great" I say

Soon Keirstyn, Harry, and Nick jog towards us with food in their hands.

" The line was crowded and you guys weren't in the room" Nick says handing Alex and I a breakfast sandwich

"Thanks for the sandwich" Alex says

"We need to get back to school. In 30 minutes I have a big english test" Keirstyn says

"I didn't even study" Harry says rolling his eyes

"I have a math test" Nick says

"I don't think I have any upcoming tests.." Alex says

"I'll ask" Harry says

"Thanks" Alex says

"Bye" everybody says

Soon we are both in the car driving to Alex's house.

"Is my car totaled?" Alex asks

"I don't know. I'll ask later" I say

"I hope it isn't" she says

"Me either" I say agreeing

Soon we pull up into her drive way and I help her out of car and through the door.

I help her up the stairs to her bedroom and as soon as we're in her room she makes her way to her bed.

"This sucks. I'm literally broken and Tuesday is my birthday" she says

Her birthday is Tuesday..

What am I gonna get her?

" At least you'll be 18" I say trying to cheer up the mood

"Yeah..." she says

Soon it's silent.

"Why does all this stuff happen?" she says and it's almost as if she's about to cry

"What?"

"Me not being good enough, my mom popping up in my life, the car crash, just everyday life, and then you" she says

Me?

"What about me?" I ask worriedly

"You make me have so many emotions and I can't take it! You make me cry then you make me smile. You do all these things and it's making my feelings towards you go all over the place!" she says

As soon as she moves her arm she cries out in pain and I come over to her and comfort her.

"It's okay Alex.." I say

She soon calms down..

Just seeing the girl I love in my arm crying and in pain breaks me apart.

Alex's POV

Out of all the emotions he has put me through...

I have realized I love him.
