Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani, against Baasha, saying: "Inasmuch as I lifted you out of the dust and made you ruler over My people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam, and have made My people Israel sin, to provoke Me to anger with their sins,
1 Kings 16:1
Don't confuse Jehu the son of Hanani with Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, as I did for a bit. I knew the timing didn't seem right. I figured that out but it gets more confusing - King Jehoshaphat was the king of Judah.
Jehu killed Joram the king of Israel, and also killed Ahaziah king of Judah; so I guess that made Jehu king over all of Israel, it says so in 2 Kings 10:36. King Jehu also cleared out the house of King Ahab. One of these days God will let me figure this all out, but this is all for today. Make sure that you tell God you love Him!
