How long have you been an artist?

I've drawn since I was very, very little. I can recall sitting in front of our back sliding door and staring at our dog to try and draw him. However, about 7-8 years ago was when I started to really work on developing a style and showing off my art (though to start doing that online would take a few more years).

Since how long have you been drawing Warriors?

I read the first book of the third series back in 6th grade (I think?) when I found it in the library and didn't realize there were books before it -- I then went back to go and read the first two series after I finished it. So around that time I began to draw Warriors art, though most of it was original cats and not canon scenes.

What do you focus on in your art?

Uh, I'm not quite sure myself. I'm trying to work on a nice style that's a mix of realistic and cartoonish (and I'm proud of how this is working for the faces/heads of the cats, but I'm still messing around the body, especially the paws). And I'd also like to work on making backgrounds and environments that flow together.

Do you draw canon characters, non-canon cats, or both?

Most of my Warriors art is of non-canon cats. I actually only have a few pieces in my digital portfolio that are of canon characters.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell everybody about being an artist?

References are you're very best friend in art, especially when drawing something still new to you. Doing little exercises like taking a picture and drawing beside it is a nice practice.
