I held Khari's hand as we made our way the unnecessary steps. I don't understand why she chose a driveway like this when she knows that I wear heels on a day to day basis. Once we made to the top, he rung the doorbell and I leaned more into him to get warm. The girls glared at me and I batted my eyelashes. I mouthed he's mine and they shook their head at me. I let the girls have Khari whenever they want him so when I want to be selfish, I don't want to hear a word.
The door swung open revealing Kyrie. "Yooooo.." He greeted Khari with a handshake and bro hug. "Wassup? Long time no see."
"Yea, man. We don't like coming to the cold no more." Khari joked.
"Spoiled asses. Come on in. I kno' y'all LA folk not used to this cold weather." We hurriedly followed Khari inside, greeting Kyrie in the process. Danielle and Kyrie were together for a while before they finally decided to tie the knot. They had Malachi, their son, a year after I had my girls and then got married six months later. Then waited twelve years later to have their own set of twin girls, Chloe & Claire.
