Melody's dad came and picked her up a few hours later. It was 9:00 PM. I was tired. Alice was tired. Melody was tired and Macy was already sleeping. Mr. Reed studied me for a moment when he came to pick Melody up. I felt uncomfortable under his glare.
"Thanks for letting her come along." Alice told Mr. Reed. Don't bring up the photo, I begged Alice in my mind. Alice didn't. Thank goodness.
"Your welcome." Mr. Reed said, not as friendly as he usually was. I took small step back.
"Bye Mels." I told Melody.
"Bye Hoodie Boy." Melody said. Mr. Reed rushed Melody out the door. Alice closed the door.
"Well he wasn't too friendly." Alice stated.
"He's probably just tired." I lied. I knew that picture had bothered Mr. Reed. Why? I didn't know, but I know it had.
"I'm tired." I said. "I'm going to bed." I told Alice.
"Alright, good night." Alice said.
"Night." I told her. I went to my room and pulled on pajamas. I fell onto my bed and went to sleep quickly.
