“I know not Mistress.” He replied.

I nodded my head once and got up, realizing that today was Saturday. A smile tugged at my lips, I would go and see George today, just like I promised. I walked towards my bathroom but stopped and turned to look at my grandfather hanging on the wall.

“Grandfather, why didn’t the pain last longer than before?” I asked him, curious to know.

Throughout my years at Hogwarts, I would often times see Salazar Slytherin, instantly he knew who I was, but he didn’t tell a soul that he knew. Probably because he disliked Voldemort as much as the rest of us, in his eyes Voldemort was an abomination that shouldn’t have been born in the first place, especially because his father was a muggle. Pureblood politics and all, he did however agree with what Voldemort was aiming for, blood purity. But in the end Voldemort’s own tainted blood is what made Salazar Slytherin keep my secret. We often times would have a small chat and he would help me with some of my projects and the like. He was actually the one who told me back in my second year that I should call him grandfather; I was after all his pureblood granddaughter. And that was all was needed to gain his approval, however he didn’t like how my parents hid, but he saw the reasoning, self-preservation.

“You’re becoming stronger.” Was all he said, not willing to explain everything in detail. I gave him one last look and made my way into the bathroom.

The door of my room closed behind me and instantly I felt something in me shift and become a bit unstable. I could feel it stirring within me. I however brushed off the feeling and began to descend the staircase, wanting to go to Hogsmeade to see George and maybe go a little book shopping.

I stepped into the common room which was alive with Slytherin’s everywhere. I couldn’t help but be glad that I told Aime to meet me at Hogsmeade, considering that he could travel his way through the castles through hidden holes and small tunnels.  Everyone’s heads turned towards me and I couldn’t help but feel a bit self-conscious, but I yet again brushed it off and kept my head held high. If they think they could ridicule me and think themselves inferior, they had another thing coming.

With my chin up and a bounce in my step I strutted across the room towards the exit of the Slytherin chambers. I was also surprised at how well I was doing wearing high heels, I could thank my mum for that I guess. As I was a few feet from the exit I heard a voice call my name.

“Mione!” An energetic voice called my name. I sighed, I really just wanted to go hang out with George and accompany him.

I turned around with a small smile plastered on my face. Terence came strolling over to me wearing jeans and a muggle looking shirt. His bright blue eyes shining and a smile on his face.

“Good Morning Terence.” I said, calculating in my mind that it was probably around a quarter to twelve, so not yet the afternoon, at least technically not.

“It’s afternoon I reckon.” He said with a laugh. I guess I stood corrected, but at this moment I didn’t care that I was incorrect for once.

We stared at each other for a few moments, Terence rocking on his soles of his feet and the entire chamber listening to our conversation.

“Can I ask you something?” Terence said the same time I said “I have to go.”

“I actually have to go somewhere Terence.” I said not giving him time to repeat his question and possibly getting stuck with him. He was a nice bloke, absolutely sweet and caring, but I just needed to get away from anything that was associated with Slytherin at this moment. If I could get away from myself I would’ve.
