Requested by HardyTwister I'm actually really excited to write this one! I hope you enjoy!

Pacifica heard footsteps behind her. As she quickly ducked behind a bush, she pulled out her weapon. She was used to this, everyone in her family were monster hunters, but her parents tended to be overprotective of her. The footsteps seemed to only be getting louder. It must be getting closer, she thought, looking through a journal where she recorded everything about the monster so she knew how to defeat it. She put the journal in her bag, and aimed her weapon between the trees, because that's where she heard the noise. She zoomed in on the spot, and saw nothing. No creature, she thought, I must be losing it or starting to get paranoid. Although, she still kept her weapon aimed at the spot, hoping that the creature would be there.

"Hmm, we're not always super pale. And not all of us hate garlic. My great uncle Stan doesn't mind it." Pacifica whipped around to see a boy, about her age, reading pages of her journal aloud. How did he sneak up on me? She asked herself. "Probably because we quick and quiet." He replied, as if he could read her mind. "You might want to add that to your journal." She tried to grab it from him, but he quickly teleported ten feet away from her. "Nice try." He shouted to her, to make sure she could still hear him. "But we might benefit from this."

"We?" She asked, looking around to make sure no other monsters were around. "Give that back!"

"No way! I'm surprised to didn't go through any trouble to hide this," he exclaimed.

She stomped over to him, and noticed how pale he was. "Why are you so pale?" She asked, shoving her hands into her front pockets.

He chuckled. "Ask yourself that question."

She thought about the specific pages he was reading aloud and gasped. "You're a,"

He said 'Vampire' at the same time she said 'Snowman'. He looked at her with confusion written all over his face, and that's when Pacifica took her chance to grab her journal. And that was also when she saw his fangs. She snatched it out of his hands and backed away from him. "You...you better leave." She gulped and looked back at her weapon. If only she could reach it.

"Or what?" He sneered. "What can you do right now? I'm faster than you, and I'm stronger than you. With any luck, you'll be sent back to your family in one piece."

Pacifica gulped again, and proceeded to take steps backward. "Just, don't come any closer!"

"Why not?" He asked, taking more steps toward her.

"......" she couldn't think of a reason against why he shouldn't, and decided to keep her mouth shut.

He chuckled once more. "Well as much as I'd love to keep scaring you, I have places to be." He stepped behind the trees and disappeared.

Pacifica held her breath for a second. There was something about him that just made her skin crawl. And it wasn't because he was a vampire.

Later that night, Pacifica picked at her dinner. Her mother, Priscilla Southeast one of the best monster hunters ever, eyed her suspiciously. "What's wrong, sweetie? You've hardly touched your food."

Pacifica glanced up at her mother, who had a concerned look on her face. "Oh, it's nothing."

"Well it's obviously something." Priscilla argued. "What is it? Did you meet someone?? A boy?"

Pacifica jolted upward. "N-no! Why why would you assume something like that?"

Her father, Preston Southeast, rolled his eyes. "Well now I know it's a boy. So, what's his name?"

Pacifica thought back to her encounter with him. In her rush to get the journal back, she had forgotten his name or to even ask it. "I dunno his name. He didn't say."

"Well, when you see him again, invite him over." Preston concluded, meaning they were done talking about it.

If, if I see him again, Pacifica thought. She smiled at her parents, and gave a curt nod. "Alright."

"So, what does he look like?" Priscilla asked, raising an eyebrow. "How old is he?"

"He has brown hair, it's sorta got that 'I just got out of bed' look. Blue eyes, and he's quite tall." She explained. "I dunno how old he is, but he looks my age."

Preston and Priscilla nodded, and gave each other a worried glance. Pacifica knew that something was wrong. "...what?" She asked, tilting her head a little bit to the side, hoping they'd give her an answer.

"Just.....just be careful. Okay?" Priscilla said, finally, it looked like that wasn't all she had to say, and Pacifica knew it. But, to keep her mother happy, she faked a smile and nodded, before getting up from the table, and walking upstairs.

Pacifica brushed her long blonde hair continuously, as she stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes looked dark and tired like she hadn't slept in days. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Pacifica turned around towards the window. She was sure that she heard something hit it. She walked over to it and hoped it was her imagination. She opened the window and looked out. Nothing. She sighed and laughed at herself for being this paranoid. She closed the window and turned back towards the mirror. She hummed quietly and continued to brush her hair, and that's when she heard the familiar chuckle from the woods. She whipped around to see the man from before, sitting on her bed casually as if he owned the place. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she took a step back. "W-what are you d-doing here?!" She gasped out, hoping he wouldn't try anything.

He got off the bed and walked over to her, and she felt herself moving more steps back. As she continued to take steps back, she suddenly felt paralyzed. The man's eyes were glowing a neon blue and she saw him smirking. "I wanted to see you again." He, finally, replied. "Is that bad?"

"I dunno! I don't even know you!" She shouted, hoping her parents would hear her.

"You know of me." He countered. "You already know what I am."

Pacifica shook her head and wanted to cry for help. "I d-don't want to know what you are."

"But you already know." He took another step closer to her, until he was inches away from her face.

Up close, she realized how pale he was. His skin looked like one of those porcelain dolls that were always on display in an antique store, but no one wanted. Because their glass eyes looked so lifeless and dull. But his eyes were electric. Intense and cold at the same time. His eyes looked like ice, like if he glanced at you, your blood chilled. "Is it bad to say that you," he sighed.

"You....?" She finally asked, feeling less scared than before.

"You intrigue me." He finished.

Pacifica was shocked. A vampire, was intrigued, by her?  "what?" She asked.

"You intrigue me. That's all." He sighed. "You are not like the other humans I've encountered."

Pacifica felt the corners of her mouth tug upward. "What do you mean?!"

"You're interesting to me." He replied. "That's all." He was standing right in front of her. She felt his hot breath on her neck and she whimpered. "But I won't taste your blood yet. I'll wait for the right time."

"You won't be able to." She fired. "My parents are the best monster hunters ever! They won't even let a monster get ten feet near me!"

He looked at her. "Really? That's funny." Pacifica realized that he was within ten feet of her. And she was mistaken. "We will meet again. I can assure you that, my sweet." He walked over to the window and opened it. He swiftly climbed out of her room and dropped to the ground, without a sound. Pacifica ran to the window and looked down at him. "What's your name?!" She called to him.

He smirked at her. "Dipper." He said. "Dipper Gleeful."
