Chapter 17

Kinuha ko ang aking cellphone sa bag at nagulat ako ng makita ang limang text na lahat ay galing kay Andrei.

Andrei:

Lunch?

Andrei:

Where are you, baby? I'm here at the cafeteria. Will wait you here.

Andrei:

Jessica.

Andrei:

I'm gonna pick you up! Nasaan ka na ba?

Andrei:

Why are you not texting me back?!

"Sorry. I wasn't able to check my phone." Kahit na naghingi ako ng sorry sa kanya hindi ko mapigilang hindi mapangiti.  

"Now you eat, and stop smiling..." Kumain naman ako nung inutus niya. 

Yes! Andrei is my boyfriend.

The moment he asked me to be his girlfriend, I know I'm going to say yes. But it took me so long before I answer his question. Nag-da-doubt ako para sa magiging outcome nito. Baka mamaya nabibigla lang siya. Baka wala naman talaga siyang nararamdaman para sakin. Baka mamaya one night stand lang talaga ang tingin niya sakin.

But that day, I saw his eyes full of sincerity, full of sincerity on asking me to be his real girlfriend. I had my hesitations. But as I looked deep in his eyes, all my hesitations were gone.

I hug him so tight that I don't wanna let him go. So tight, that he can't breathe, even me.

"Yes, Andrei. YES!" And with that, he kiss me on my lips with so much sweetness. Parang doble doble ang napalalunan niya nung araw na yun.

Naalala ko na naman ang araw na naging girlfriend niya ako. Sobrang bilis nang pangyayari, pero hindi ko kayang bawiin ang lahat lalo na ang matamis kong oo.

"Look at you! Pawis ka na kakagala sa mga booth. Give it a rest, baby. You look tired!"

"Do I look ugly, now?" I unintentionally asked this. I'm not serious about this question pero lumabas na sa bibig ko.

"Of course not! You're still beautiful even though you look like a mess. You're still mine and still beautiful, baby." He answered and kiss my forehead.

Mag-aalas dos na ng hapon at hinatid ako ni Andrei sa venue  ng cultural competition. Umalis na agad siya dahil may pupuntahan pa daw siya. Unang laban ang vocal solo. Not to brag about this, pero magaling talaga ang pambato ng Engineering. For two years siya ang representative namin and walang palya, laging panalo. 

Isa sa inaabangan ay ang dance mob competition. Sobrang pinaghandaan ang laban na ito. From their remix music, to their colorful and wonderful costumes and even their make up. Pati sapatos pare-parehas. Halatang pinag-kagastusan ang laban na ito.
