Rain is pouring down heavily at eight in the morning.

Wow, great timing for an off duty after three weeks in the hospital.

Now, i'm stuck in a traffic. Manila traffic. Ugh

I still haven't had a break. I am tired and sleepy. I am hungry; my last meal was nine in the evening yesterday with only a loaf of bread and an energy drink.

Yes, yesterday.

Being an Emergency Room doctor is emotionally and physically challenging. On the last week of the duty cycle, two of the five doctors are working under me, they are on-call doctors. Since I am the Senior Doctor, I need to orient them about the department they never worked before. Changes every cycle requires another waste of energy and time.

But, I have no right to complain that I am too tired to understand and continuously adjust with my job, to extend patience to hard-to-please watchers/relatives/visitors, to deal with unprofessional staffs and collegues, to revive near-to-death patients, and to attend to non-stop patients because this is what I want,

this is what I choose to be.

Did I make the right decision?

What could be the very purpose why destiny had put me to this kind of profession?

I need a break, something I really deserve.
