Chapter 29

Kestrel's POV

I cover my mouth with my hands to keep my self from bursting out in tears.

Then I hear one of their pups cry.

I step out of the room. Her pups need help and I'm the only one who can do it right now.

I walk into the room and look in the crib at the one that is crying.

I pick up Aiden and gently rock him. He quiets down but doesn't stop.

I sit down on the rocking chair and begin to sing to him.

'Hush little baby, don't say a word.'

'Auntie's gonna buy you a mocking bird.'

'If that mocking bird don't sing.'

'Auntie's gonna buy you a diamond ring.'

'If that diamond ring turns brass.'

'Auntie's gonna buy you a looking glass.'

By the time I was finished Aiden was sleeping and I was in even more tears.

I set down Aiden and walked out of the room. I collapsed right outside the door.

How could Tundra do that?

She has two children to look after and now.....

I can't finish.

It's my fault.

Tundra's POV

I was in a peaceful land. I looked around at all of the flowers.

"Mommy!" A tiny voice cheered.

I sounds around and saw a little girl. It was Nicole. She jumped in my arms and I hugged her tightly.

"Oh baby... Mommy tried... I miss you so much..." I whimpered as I held her closely.

"You have to go back to them. They all need you." Nicole said.

I kissed her forehead. I nodded with tears in my eyes.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too Mommy..." Nicole replied.

Everything went white.

Kestrel's POV

I sat by Tundra's hospital bed. She cut too deep and needed a blood transfusion.

Ash held Aiden whereas I held Jakob. Liam was sitting beside me holding Ameila.

We were waiting for Tundra to wake.

She would be able to talk now.

I brought Jakob up to my face and kissed his his forehead.

I still don't understand how Tundra could do that.

Ash and I were both there for her as much as we could. Liam offered moral support.

"C-Can I have some time alone with her?" Ash croaks. I nod and stand up with Liam.

"Do you want Jakob?" I ask him. He nods and I hand him to Ash.

Liam and I walk out of the infirmary and down the hallway.

Noticing my tension, Liam pulls me closer to him.

We walk to our house and he hands me Amelia. I kiss her chubby cheeks and smile.

We walk into our house and I grow dizzy. I almost fall but Liam catches me and Amelia.

"Are you okay honey?" Liam asks. I shale my head and hand him Amelia.
