I get thatvcoming up with an original and fresh idea is hard, but it's really not that hard. Some people are just lazy and take the easy route. I swear to God that most fanfics out there follow this simple plan;
1. Main character is skilled with a crossbow
2. Main character is saved by love interest.
3. Main character annoys either Beth, Andrea, Lori or Maggie
4. Main character becomes suicidal
5. Main character gets pregnant with their love interest
6. Happily ever after?
Bonus. Daryl's daughter
Could we please have some different ideas? Like I know we have a plot to follow, but its not that difficult. I mean, take Harry Potter for example. They're so many fanfics out there with completely different plots, however they still follow what's meant to happen in either the books or movies.
It just gets boring when all of the books are the same. We need some original ideas, yo. Being creative is such an important part of being a writer. Even is it's small things in your book, like, "oh, maybe my character uses a different weapon", or, "how about she has a different point of view". It doesn't need to be a huge and drastic thing, like she's a fucking vampire or some spooky shit.
