"What do you want to do when your older?" You asked your boyfriend, Shawn. You were both laid out across his bed, looking at the ceiling. Well, you were. Shawn was too busy looking at you wondering how in the world he got so lucky.

It was 2 o'clock in the morning, and Shawn's parents were sleeping. He was bored so he texted you and asked you to come over. You see, his parents weren't exactly fond of you, but you had no idea why. You make good grades, you don't do drugs, you support Shawn in everything he does, you aren't a bad influence, but for some reason they just didn't like you.

"Grow old with you." He answered smiling at you. You couldn't help the redness that rushed to your cheeks. You thanked the lord it was dark so he couldn't see you. I looked over at him , looking him in his eyes.

"I know you're blushing." He whispered, moving stray pieces of hair that fell onto my face. "You're beautiful when you blush." He leaned in and planted his lips to yours in a gently kiss. When he went to pull away, you placed your hand on the back of his neck pulling him back into you.

You rolled onto your back, pulling Shawn on top of you. He places on arm next to your head to support his weight, and the other rests on your hip. He grabs your waist  playfully making you gasp.

He took that as an opportunity, smirking slightly as he slipped his tongue into your mouth. You moaned slighty, running your hands through his hair, and tugging gently. Your tounges fought for dominance, but of course he won.

His hand slid from your waist, right under your boob, when the door burst open. You shoved Shawn off of you and stood up, straightening out your outfit.

"What the heck is this!?" Shawn's dad yelled. Shawn stood up next to you grabbing your hand in his. You stood slightly behind him, using him as a shield. Him being much taller than you was an advantage right now. You couldn't seem to look up but you felt Mr. Mendes's eyes on you.

"I knew you were a bad influence on my son! Get out of my house!" He yelled at you, you side-stepped Shawn, removing your hand from his grip.

"I-I I'm so sorry, sir." You muttered, beginning to walk away from Shawn. You looked over your shoulder at Shawn, smiling sadly. "I'll call you." You said sadly.

"No you won't." His dad seethed, crossing his arms over his chest. This is where Shawn stepped in.

"Dad! You're not being fair! Olivia, don't go." He looked at you pleadingly.

"Shawn, it's fine. Your family comes first." You told him, giving him that look that said 'let it go'.

"Oh look, the girl has sense." He dad laughed.

"DAD! Stop! You're being so rude right now! Olivia come here." Shawn reached forward, his hand grasping your forearm, and pulled you back to his side.

"Shawn I don't want you seeing this girl she is not good for you!" He told him acting as if I wasn't there. I'm not going to lie, his words hurt, but I loved Shawn, and I really wanted his dad to like me, so I kept my mouth shut.

"This girls name is Olivia, and I love her." Shawn seethed grabbing me by my waist, and pulled me into his side.

"Love? Son, your 15! You don't know what love is!" He told him, his eyes wide in shock.

"It doesn't matter how old you are, Dad! She makes me happy! She is the only one that can make me laugh when I'm having a bad day. She's the only one I want to see when I'm in a bad mood. She understands me unlike everybody else does. She can see straight through me. She cares about me, Dad! Why can't you just be happy for me!?" Shawn ranted. Your heart swelled at his words. Did he really feel that way about you? His dad stayed silent, looking at both of you.

"Why don't you like her?" Shawn whimpered, and I didn't want to stick around to hear his answer.

"I'm going to go." You said out loud, looking down.

"I think that would be best." Mr. Mendes said.

"Olivia... please." Shawn pleaded, narrowing his eyes at his dad. Taking his attention from his dad, he gave it to you.

"Shawn, It's fine. Just text me later or something." You told him still not looking at him.

"You're not breaking up with me are you?" He asked, his eyes widening in fear. Before you answered, he looked at his dad. "Can you give us a few minutes alone... Please?" He asked through clenched teeth. He nodded and left the room.

"Olivia, please don't end this. He will come around." Shawn pleaded.

"Shawn, I'm not breaking up with you.." You told him, and you could visibly see him relax. "Although it may be for the best." You added looking towards the door.

"No. Do not let him get to you, Olivia. You make me happier then anyone else, and I'll be terribly mad if someone ruins that, even my father."

"Shawn, He hates me! Open your eyes! He's never going to like me, and your family comes first. Always. I don't want to get in the way of your relationship with your dad, Shawn."

"You said you weren't breaking up with me.." He said looking down.

"I'm not." I answered honestly.

"Then why does it sound like you're saying goodbye?" He raised his voice looking up at me. You didn't know what to say. It did sound like you were saying goodbye. "If we break up right now, I will never forgive my father. So either way, we are going to be fighting. Don't let him come between us please, baby. Don't do this to me right now." He pleaded taking your hands in his.

"Text me later, okay?" You said leaning up and kissing his cheek.

"Olivia." His voice sounded as if he was in pain. You squeezed your eyes closed, and turned your back to him.

"I love you, Shawn." You told him, as the first of your tears fell.

Before you could walk out of the door, Mr. Mendes came bursting in.

"Wait!" He called, making you give him your full attention.

"Yes, Mr.Mendes?" You gulped.

"Dad were you just eavesdropping!?" Shawn screamed. "You're unbelieveable, first you make me lose my girlfriend-"

"If you would be quiet and listen to me-" His dad warned, narrowing his eyes at Shawn. I shot him a warning glare, telling him to be nice.

"I was going to say, you should stay." he said bluntly turning his attention to me.

"What?" I breathed. "You'd be okay with that, sir?"

"I guess. I heard the way you were talking to Shawn, and you seem to have a pretty good head on your shoulders, kid. I think you'd be good for my son. I'm sorry I misjudged you before, but I want to thank you for looking after my son, when I failed to do so."

"You've raised him well, Mr.Mendes." You complimented making him smile.

Wow what a change of events. You thought to yourself.

"You kids get some sleep. We'll talk more in the morning, aye?" he smiled.

"Thank you, Dad. You don't know how much this means to me." He nodded before leaving the room.

"Thank you Mr. Mendes!" You called after him. You couldn't help the smile on you face, as you ran into Shawn's arms.

"We can be together now! Without any problems!" I cheered rubbing my thumb along his jaw bone. He picked me up, and wrapped my legs around his waist.

"I'm glad, baby. Now... Where were we?" He winked throwing you down on the bed, and connecting his lips with yours.
