Your POV:

"This one's for Y/N," Nash says, casting a glance in your direction. You try and hide your slight shock. Why would anyone need to ask you something while there was four of the boys sitting here? "Y/N, when are you releasing your new album? And can you reveal any special collabs that are on the album? Love you!"

All the boys turn to you, mostly because you hadn't even revealed much about the album to any of them yet either. Except Cam and Shawn of course. You wanted this album to be a total surprise. It's supposed to drop in two weeks, not long after Shawn's. You couldn't be more proud. You spent more hours in the studio than you did anywhere else the past few months.

"Well, first love you too dear wonderful fan of mine," you blow a kiss at the camera and the boys all chuckle at your silliness. "The album drops in two weeks on April 25th. You can pre-order it now on iTunes. And as for collabs, it's really no big secret since you can see who is featured in the songs already on iTunes. So, there are 12 songs on the album. 7 of those are just me. There are 5 songs that feature someone else: that means they could be doing a duet, rapping, or background. Shawn collabed with me and it's one of my favorite songs on the album to say the truth-"

Shawn interrupts you by tackling you in a hug and going "awwww, you do care!" The rest of the boys take that as their cue to jump in and make a dog pile on you.

"Can't breathe! Death by teenage boys. What a 21st century way to die,". You somehow manage to wiggle your way out of the bottom of the pile and do a quick hair flip to fix the mop of hair they just managed to ruin in 12 seconds flat.

"AS I WAS SAYING!" You loudly exclaim in Matthew's ear and he quickly covers your mouth with his gigantic hand.

"You're going to be the reason I go deaf, I swear." Matt tries to keep a straight face but you lick his hand and he jumps back and starts laughing. "That was sneaky, Y/N. But expect payback."

"K. Anyway back to the question. So yes, Shawn collabs with me. I'm also very excited to announce that The Weeknd is on the album! When they got on board I cried, not gonna even try to deny it. And my main chicks from 5th Harmony slayed on this one song. So get excited!"

*you guys finished filming and are all just sitting in the hotel room*

Shawn's POV

That's it, I refuse to sit here and let her be all lovey dovey with Cam. I love Cam and all, and I know he has no idea about my feelings for Y/N, but I can't help but highly dislike him right now.

I know their relationship won't last. Their schedules are way too different for them to spend any time together. But Y\N and I are going on tour together for the next several months after we finish this little reunion tour. And the only thing I want is to be able to have her sleeping next to me on the tour bus, knowing she is safe and happy. Not sad and crying and feeling alone missing Cam who is too busy to text her while we are on tour.

"Y/N, let's make a cover together." I said it more like a demand than an idea, but oh well.

"Right now?" She asked, looking slightly amused by your sudden outburst.

"Yeah, right now. Come on, grab your guitar and meet me in my room." Then I got up and walked out without giving her a chance to say no. I heard her say bye to the other three boys left in Nash's room editing the Ask video we just made.

Y/N POV

"So what kind of song do you think we should play?" I ask him as I sit cross crossed on his bed tuning my guitar.

" I'm feeling something slower, how about you?" He looks to you with that look. The look you just can't describe. It's as if you hold the answer to the most important question ever. He always gives you the look, but you don't think he realizes he is doing it. But you pass it off as a Shawn thing and move on, despite the little blush that wants to burn your cheeks and torture your pride.

"Same... Let me think." You both sit there for a whole minute in dead silence except for the sound of Shawn tapping his guitar pick on the side of his guitar. He always does this when he is thinking of a song.

"I got it!" You happily squeal after the minute of silence.

"You're cute when you think of a good song." Shawn laughs at your moment of glee and you give him a warm smile. "So what's the song?" He asked.

"Dreaming with a Broken Heart- John Mayer!"

Shawn's POV

If only she knew how this song related to me. If only.

I nod my head to say I agree on the song and quickly pull up the chords for both of us. I already set up the camera and press record. We were doing it in one shot, just totally winging it. It's always more interesting this way.

"Hey guys, I'm Shawn Mendes! I'm here with the amazing Y/N and we are doing a cover of Dreaming with a Broken Heart by John Mayer in one shot. We hope you like it!"

There's a slight pause then Y/N comes in with the intro. You can't help but get awestruck by how amazing she is every time she plays.

The verses go well. The two of us constantly switching and harmonizing to make it as good as possible in one shot. Finally the chorus comes and the passion in Y/N's voice is so strong I let her sing on her own while I stare at her and play.

When you're dreaming with a broken heart

The giving up is the hardest part

Then all at once you have to say goodbye

Wondering, "Could you stay my love?

Will you wake up by my side?"

No she can't, 'cause she's gone, gone, gone, gone, gone....

After the line "she takes you in with her crying eyes," Y/N signals for me to jump in. Our voices combine and I love it. For all the right and wrong reasons. The wrong being knowing she'll never harmonize with Cam like we do together.

All I know is I've got to either get her, or forget her.
