Understanding

Kim's P.O.V

"Mmm?" I rolled my head around in a circle and tried to open my eyes but some sort of blind fold was restricting me from doing so. It was freezing cold and I had been tied up to a chair. Similar to the way Liam had been tied up in the basement this morning. It suddenly hit me where I am. I felt dizzy and short of breath. The amount of pain I felt in the back of my entire body was undescribable. I tried to shrug my shoulders to help the pain but all that did was put me in even more immense pain. I tried to scream for help but unlike Liam I also had a tightly wrapped bandage around me mouth. I tried to pull my hands free from the knotted rope behind the chair but it was no use, all it did was giving me hand burn. I hated feeling so restricted. I felt like I couldn't breathe. I gave a muffled scream and stuck out my stomach in attempt to squirm free from this uncomfortable position. I thrusted my back up and leaned to the left only to loose my balance and collapse onto the cold concrete. The sound echoed in the room, indicating I was in the 'warehouse' Selena was talking about with Danny just before I lost consciousness. My body began to ache all over and my blindfold had moved slightly, allowing me to catch a glimpse of top which was drenched in blood. I began to whimper. Where am I?! Suddenly a gush of freezing cold wind washed over me. 

"Oh, looks like sleeping beauty is finally awake" I heard Danny's sickening voice and he paced over. I was slightly glad to not hear the trail of clicking heels besides him. He grunted as he pushed me back up on my chair so all four legs were back on the ground. He laughed as he pulled off my blindfold. The light from outside blinded me and it took me a few seconds to readjust. His gleeful smile made me feel sick. I panted hard through my nostrils and Danny helped me out slightly by also removing the bandage around my mouth. 

"And now my legs and my hands" He laughed and bent over so his face was centimetres from me. 

"Now why is it in the most inappropriate time you decide to showcase your humourous personality hm?" I looked away in disgust over at the crane which had been parked inside the warehouse. Danny grabbed hold of my chin and angled my face back towards him. "Now Kim, this is the exact sort of behaviour which has gotten you in this situation in the first place" Danny threw my face away and I whipped my head back at him. He walked away from me. "We coulda been so good together Kim...you know that?" I remained silent. "If you're going to stay silent anyway, I might as well put that bandage back over your mouth" His little threat terrified me. I didn't want him touching me let alone taking away my speaking privilages! 

"Why Danny...just why?" I asked softly.

"Why? You are seriously asking that?" 

"What did I ever do to you that bad?" Danny furrowed his eyebrows and walked over to me. 

"How can you not know Kim? You knew what you did to me" 

"Did to you? Danny whatever I did couldn't have been that bad if you wanted to get together with me!"

"It was a facade! All of it was you idiot!" 

"What?"

"I wanted my revenge" I looked up at him in utter confusion. "I wanted to break your heart the same way you did with me...I wanted to lead you on and just suddenly drop you so badly that you would never trust another man again" 

"Danny? We never even went out? How could I have broken your heart?"

"Exactly! You didn't even give me a chance! Not even a second glimpe at the person who was always there for you! Who would always give you a shoulder to cry on when you needed it! Who would always have your back!" Danny laughed psychotically and walked away from me. "Oh no! You just overlooked me!"

"I n-n-never even knew you felt this way-"

"Save it" Danny ran up to me and bent over to caress my cheek. "I loved you so much Kim...more than you will ever know...more than Liam ever could've" I opened my mouth to speak. "But it's too late. You broke my heart and I'm going to hurt you exactly the same way"

"Could've?" I asked hesitantly.

"What?"

"More than he ever could have?"

"Yes. That's right..." I shook my head in disbelief and tears began streaming down my eyes. I tried standing up and threw my body up into the air and fell face flat. I rolled over in pain to look up at Danny. 

"Please Danny please! I BEG OF YOU! DON'T TELL ME YOU'VE..."

"He's dead" Danny whispered. I let my hair drop over my face as I sobbed into the concrete. I began to scream up at Danny. "YOU MONSTER!" I bellowed. I tried kicking out of this hold of the ropes and through sobs continued to scream up at Danny. My back began to feel like it's spasming and the worst thing is when you can't allow your body to move when it's in such a state. I didn't know what was killing me more...Danny began to pick my chair back up off the ground as Selena walked into the warehouse. I looked across at her and continued to sob. 

"YOU EVIL SICK TWISTED-"

"Now now Kim no need for name calling" She laughed. She looked across at Danny. "Drakes car is going to be here in about 20 minutes. But it's a two seater, so I'll take my bag of cash and I'm going to deposit it on the way to the airport. Your ride is going to be here in about 30 minutes for you to do the same and then I'll meet you in the airport at gate 57 got it?" Danny nodded. 

"What are we gonna do about...?" Danny nodded in my direction. Selena laughed. 

"Not my problem...go crazy" Selena walked out of the room before stopping at the door. "Been a pleasure Kim" I looked away into the far corner in disgust of her. I clocked my eyes on the orange crance...with the words LONDON CRANES LTD. I gasped. This was the warehouse on that site where those drunken men launched a wrecking ball at Liam! This is the place near the park! 

"So what are we going to talk about?" Danny asked me supercilliously. I slowly remade eye contact with him. 

"Take me back Danny"

"What?" Danny asked in complete shock. 

"Take me back"

Hi everyone! Hope you enjoyed the chapter. So my exams officially start on the 17th of May and before then I intend to have this book fully published. So there are going to be a hell of a lot of updates coming at you for the next week, maybe even one a day? By 17th May it will be finished and once my exams finish in July I'm going to get started on a sequel, and at the end of the story I'll be asking for some ideas or feedback for the sequel because I'd love to hear your suggestions. Then I reckon the first update of the sequel will be around mid July. 

Hope you've enjoyed the story and dont worry there is a lot more action to come! (As you can probably tell!)
