Waking Up

Liam's P.O.V

"Isn't it just...?" I said through gritted teeth. The workers faced eachother, two of them stared in horror but one continued to laugh. I tutted, and smiled down to the floor. "Actually do you know what...I'm going to give you the option to just turn around and go home"

"Otherwise?" One of the terrified workers asked. 

"Otherwise I'm going to make your lives hell, I've seen what you've been doing and drinking on the job is not what you get paid to do so your jobs will be the first to go - which I doubt your families will like very much-"

"OI!" The one worker immediately stopped laughing and became serious like the other two. "You don't know us so d-don't even think ab-about talking to us like that!" He slurred. "I'm going to make you pay now pretty boy!" He hurtled the glass bottle across at me where I ducked, when I looked over my shoulder to see where the bottle landed I heard him running towards me. As he dug his head into my stomach I put him into a head lock. He tried to squirm out of my hold and pull his head out where I stretched out my leg for him to trip backwards over it. He fell onto the floor and sneered in anger before his friends helped him up. 

"Leave it. Let's go home" One of them suggested. 

"N-No" The drunkard stated. The one worker left. But two stayed. They both looked ready for a fight. They both simulatenously ran at me. As one threw a punch I grabbed his wrist and locked his hand behind his back between his shoulder blades. He screamed in pain and I threw him into the other worker for them to topple to the floor. As I went over to pick the drunkard up his friend jumped on my back and with his glass bottle he smashed it across my head, directly upon my fresh wound from hospital. I let go of the drunkards collar and held my head in pain. I dropped to my knees where I heard them both give a dirty chuckle. I patted my head to feel a trail of blood making it's way past my face onto my clothes. I inhaled deeply and before I could get to my feet the worker put me in a head lock as the drunkard laughed and took another swig of his drink. I felt myself become strangulated and felt for a large glass shard on the floor where I swiped it off the ground and quickly dug it into his leg where he started yelling in agony. The drunkard stumbled over and gave me a large punch in the same spot - but this time it felt as though I was going to pass out from the pain. I fell back onto the floor and he became relentless. He kicked my stomach and I curled up into some sort of ball. I coughed and spluttered for air but I inhaled the saw dust on the ground. I opened my eyes to see Kim standing near to us and I widened my eyes in alarm. I could defend myself but not also Kim. When the drunkard went to kick me again I caught his foot and twisted his ankle. he dropped his glass and I suddenly felt empowered. I rose to my feet and watched the drunkard feel the ground for his bottle. I took him by the neck and began to strangle him but only enough for him to begin to squirm and beg for mercy before I dropped him onto the floor. Him and his friend were down onto the floor and I stared across at Kim's astonished face. I smirked at her and went to step forwards when I heard the drunkard mumble...

"That girls next..." I clenched my fist and picked up the glass bottle off the floor. 

"I'd like to see you try'' I whispered before smacking the glass over his head and watching it break into a million shards. I stood back up and before I knew it Kim was running over to me. She dug her hands between my arms and my waist and cuddled my tightly. I returned the feeling and rest my head above hers. "Kim...let's go home" She pulled away from me to say something when the trail of blood from my forehead caught her attention, she gasped.

"Oh my god Liam you're bleeding!" She exclaimed. I sighed.

"It's fine" I said waving it off. 

"You have to endure so much pain because of the likes of me" She began to cry into her hands when I tutted.

"It's nothing I haven't bought on myself" I said. "I'm happy to do anything for you Kim...I'm going to look after you"

Kim's P.O.V

"Mmmm" I muttered as I picked my head up off the pavement floor. I was confused - where was I? I suddenly heard shouts and screams and sounds of bottles breaking - OH MY GOD LIAM! THE BULLDOZER! I quickly rose to my feet and despite feeling dizzy I walked onto the construction site where I looked for Liam. I soon spotted him having a fight with the workers. I gasped and sprinted over to them as fast as I could. I teetered on the edge of where the spotlight was shining down on them so I was in the darkness. I saw Liam suddenly get punched in the head, I grimaced as I realised that was where Liam had been hurt before and why he'd had to go into hospital. Liam dropped to the ground and seeing him so vulnerable bought tears to my eye. I was about to step in and run to Liam as the worker kicked him so mercilessly. I felt sick. Suddenly Liam saw me and he began to gain strength. I watched him get up and strangle the worker. It was soon over and Liam smirked over at me as if it had been effortless. I was moments away from running to him when I saw the workers lips move and Liam say something back before equally as mercilessly hitting his head with his beloved alcohol glass. This time I did run over to him and I slid my arms around him to bury my head into him. I inhaled deeply and pulled away to ask him why he'd dared do such a stupid thing when I saw his head...bleeding. I gasped and became overwhelmed with the thought that all I ever do is cause Liam pain. 

"Oh my god Liam you're bleeding!" I whined. Liam sighed.

"It's fine" He tried to reassure me. 

"You have to endure so much pain because of the likes of me" I said. I cried into my hands when Liam tutted.

"It's nothing I haven't bought on myself" He explained. "I'm happy to do anything for you Kim" I picked my head out of my hands and found him so cute. "I'm going to look after you" My heart skipped a beat.

I hope you didn't find this chapter too boring but we're into single figures for the number of updates left and there's loads of action and romance and surprises and - well I'll let you read it for yourselves to know what else is to come - LOL! : )
