MAYA'S POV:
It was just a normal day of going to school. Or so I thought. I got dressed and headed to the Matthews place. I opened the door and walked in " hey Matthews"
"Hey Maya sit and eat". Mrs. Matthews said
"No thanks I ate already" I lied.
"Wasn't a question sweaty now sit" she said. Then she left. I guess to get Auggie. Someone knocked on the door I went to answer it. It was a boy wearing a beanie, ripped jeans, converse, a T-shirt, and had a cigarette in his hand it was Josh oh my lord what happened.
"What in the hell happened to you" I say pretty loud.
"Language Maya" Mr. Matthews walks into the room looks at Josh. "What the hell happened to you?"
"Nothing really Cory but mom and dad said that you have to take care of me" Josh said.
"I know it's only been a year but damn what the hell is going on with you " I say just as Mrs. Matthews walks in.
She looks at Josh with a confused look. "OK one Maya language and two who is that." Points at Josh.
"Oh you know it's just Josh" I say
