Chapter 19

Beth's POV
     I was heading downstairs when I heard the front door close. I squat down on the stairs and hide. I see a shadow walk into the living room. I walk down quietly and hide behind the wall. I peek into the living room and see Nikki with her hands on her face. I walk in and whisper " Nikki, what the heck. Why'd you come so late?!" She sniffs and says " pool party... Owen... drunk." I shake my head and whisper/yell " WHAT! OWEN WAS DRUNK?!" Nikki nods and sobs in my arms. I pull her away and say " did he do anything... bad?" She nods and says " he... he rapped me." My jaw opens and say " OMFG! Owen rapped you?!" Nikki nods and says " he didn't know who I was."I bring Nikki in for a hug and say "I'm so sorry. I wish I was there to protect you."
       She sniffs and says " I tried to stop him but he didn't listen." 😭 I smooth her hair and wipe away her tears. " go to bed. tell mom and dad in the morning." She nods and starts to walk up the stairs. I grab my phone from counter and text Jace : Owen just rapped Nikki 😲. He replies: what?! Owen! Right when I lock my phone, I hear thuds coming down the stairs. I look up and see Nikki going down all the stairs unconscious. I drop my phone and run to her. I tap her head and say " Nikki, Nikki!" She doesn't move. Blood was coming down her forehead. I look up and see my parents' light go on. I yell " MOM, DAD! NIKKI FAINTED!" They run down the stairs and say " Beth. What happened?!" " she just fainted and feel down the stairs." I feel tears go down my cheeks.
Jace's POV
      I was going back to sleep when my phone starts lighting up and buzzing. I grab it and see Beth's name come up. I answer:
J - hello¿
B - Jace... ( sniffs and cries ) can you come over? now!
J- what? why? what happened?!
B- Nikki fainted on the stairs and sh e unconscious 😭 ( cries ) and I need comforting
J- ok. I'll be there in 10 minutes
B - ok
I hop out of bed and put on my moccasins. I put my fingers in my hair and move them to the side. I grab my phone and my sweater. I run downstairs and write a note saying I'm going to Beth's house ~ emergency. I grab my car keys and get in the car~ I back out and drive to Beth's house. I get there and see lights around the house. I park my car in the driveway and run up the steps. The door was open so I let myself in. I see Beth with her arms wrapped around herself. I say "babe. I'm here!" Beth twirls around and runs up to me. I catch her and kiss her forehead. She looks at me in the eyes and says " thanks for coming." ~ she gives me a weak smile. I smile back and say " I'd always come here for you." Beth takes my hand and brings me into the living room.
** 4 days later **
Nikki's POV ( why not )
I woke up in a strange room. I try to get up but cords hold me back. I hold up my hand and see a finger cast around my finger. ( 😂 sorry I don't know what those are called ) I lay back down and stare into space. I flashback to what " recently " happened.
** flashback **
      I get out and knock on the door. Owen opens it and says " BABE, you're here!" I nod and follow him to the pool. ( his pool is HUGEEE ) I see a bunch of cast mates sitting on the edge of the pool or sitting the lounge chairs. I take off my blouse and shorts and I hear whistles. I turn around and see Owen grinning. I blush and playfully punch him on the arm. I get in the pool and I feel around wrapping around my legs. The next thing I know is I'm being lifted up. I look down and see Owen. He says " CHICKEN FIGHT!" I go against Lily and win.
** 1 hour later **
        I hop out of the pool and grab my bag. I walk to the kitchen and see Owen drinking out of a bottle. I walk up behind him and say " Owen, what are you doing?" He turns around and says " hey beautiful." ~ his breathe smelled like alcohol. I grab the bottle and yell " OWEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE DRINKING!" I throw it and it smashed into a million pieces. Owen just smiles and puts his hands on my waist. I flinch and say " Owen, stop." He doesn't listen. I shove him and I start walking to the front door. I was about to turn he knob when Owen came up behind me and whispers " I'm gonna make you mine." He takes me into the guest room and pins me to the wall. He kisses my neck and starts moving lower. He pulls me bikini off and touches me. I yell " OWEN STOP!" He doesn't listen again. I start crying~ tears go down my cheeks. I finally break free. I grab my bikini and put it on. I run down the stairs and out of his house. I get in my car and drive away. I was in front of my house and I say to myself " he... he rapped me."
** end of flashback **
     I wake up and breathe out and yell "HE RAPPED ME!" My mom wakes up and runs up to me. She smoothed my hair and says " sweetie, you're ok." I nod and say " where's Bethany?" " she's at work. She's coming in 10 minutes."
Beth's POV
      I get in Jace's car and take his hand. I kiss him and say " that's for being with me through all this." He smirks and says " anything for my girl." He drives to the hospital and we park the car. We walk hand in hand to Nikki's room. I breathe in and open the door. Right when I open the door, I see Owen. I couldn't hold myself. I stand next to the doorway and yell " GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER! YOU... YOU BITCH! DON'T GO NEAR HER EVER AGAIN!" ~ I point to the door. Owen looks at me and his jaw opens. I was about to walk up to him when Jace wrapped his arms around me and says " don't waste your energy on him. ok¿" I nod and bury my face in his chest. I have hot tears rolling down my face onto Jace's chest. I hear Jace say "Owen, can you just leave?" ~ he points to the door. I hear footsteps and hear the door slam. I look up and see Nikki holding her hand out. I take it and say " I don't want him to hurt you anymore." She nods and says " me too." I smile and rub my finger on her cheek.
