Chapter 74-Who did it?

Start from the beginning

"Really? Seems like she has turned into a villain..." Ji Hyo sighed.

"Villain? Eun Hye? No way! She might be bad to anyone but trust me, she's so nice and caring towards me! But lately, she kept bringing up how we should have made up with Eun Ji and Haha oppa for some reason with a cold attitude, which was really weird of her," the lady shook her head disapprovingly.

"Is she...that nice?" Ji Hyo was nodding off.

"Hang on, why am I telling you all this? How do I know that you're not here to get information off me?" the lady distanced herself from Ji Hyo.

"To this extent of entering jail? No way, I wanna get out of here..." Ji Hyo protested.

"Oh, by the way..." Ji Hyo took out the picture of Eun Ji, Eun Hye and a professor which she had found in Eun Hye's house. The police were careless in removing Ji Hyo's belongings from her, which resulted in her possession of the photo.

She took tiny steps towards her cellmate and showed her the photo.

"Do you know this guy?" Ji Hyo pointed to the middle of the picture as she probed further.

The lady squinted her eyes at the photo and shouted out,"That's Haha oppa's father!"

"What?" Ji Hyo remembered Haha's father, and didn't really had fond memories of him, especially that hospital visit of him with a snake and extorting Haha of money.

"Yeah... Haha oppa's father was a professor and Eun Ji and Eun Hye was relatively close to him. I remembered I even took the photo and I handed it off to Eun Ji!" the lady piped up.

"But I found this in..." Ji Hyo's question remains unanswered as a warden cuts her off.

"Song Ji Hyo?" the warden was fierce-looking.

"Yes...." Ji Hyo replied timidly, feeling small all of a sudden.

"You are released from prison now!" the warden commanded.

"Released...why?" Ji Hyo was surprised.

"Well, someone bailed you out!" the warden pulled Ji Hyo out of the cell and relocked it.

"Bye! Say hi to Eun Hye for me!" the lady waved sadly.

Without a single word, Ji Hyo left the prison after retrieving her belongings. Relief washed over her as she experienced freedom again. However, Ji Hyo realized that she didn't get her cellmate's number and could only leave with disappointment. After all, that lady has given Ji Hyo some very important information, which made her stay in jail fruitful.

Just then, a man appeared next to her.

Ji Hyo blinked a few times to make sure she was not hallucinating.

"Kang Gary!" Ji Hyo hopped into the arms of Gary like a rabbit.

"Long time no see, my loved one!" Gary exclaimed, while struggling to carry Ji Hyo.

"Yah, am I that heavy?" Ji Hyo gave Gary a light slap on his chest as Gary put her down gently.

"By the way, why are we suddenly released?" Gary asked.

"No idea," Ji Hyo was clueless as well.

As if on cue, Ji Hyo's phone rang with the ringtone of Gary's song, which made him blush madly. Ji Hyo then grinned at Gary foolishly.

"Hello?" Ji Hyo picked up the phonecall.

"Ji Hyo - I mean, Chairwoman Song... I have used your authority to .... convince the police in letting you off and bribed them with some cash. Please forgive me for my wrongdoing," It was Lawyer Min speaking with a polite tone.

"Wha.. What? Chairwoman?" Isn't the trial scheduled next week?" Ji Hyo couldn't believe her ears and dropped her phone onto the ground out of anxiety.

"What's wrong?" Gary went up to her and picked up the phone.

Without any warning, Ji Hyo hurriedly snatched the phone back and was told by Lawyer Min to make a trip to his office.

With no time to waste, Ji Hyo hailed a cab and dragged Gary along with her and rushed to Lawyer's Min office.

"Ji Hyo ah, what's happening?" Gary wrapped his hands around Ji Hyo's.

"Oppa! Wouldn't my father be proud? It seems like the good ones will always overpower the evil ones!" Ji Hyo cried tears of joy while Gary lent his shoulders to Ji Hyo for her to lean on, not knowing what is going on.

In a flash, the pair reached their destination and took the lift up to Lawyer's Min office.

"Oppa, wait here. I'll be back out before you know it," Ji Hyo told Gary with a cheery voice at the entrance of Lawyer Min's large office.

With a nod as a response, Ji Hyo had her hand on the door handle and entered the room after making up her mind.

"Ahhh!" A scream pierced through the walls as the door was left open.

"What..." Gary soon followed after Ji Hyo and entered the office.

The office was decorated with red velvet sofas and many paintings, with an enormous and expensive coffee table in the middle of the spacious room.

And under the transparent coffee table lay Lawyer Min's bloody body, which reminded Gary of the scene of Eun Ji's death.

"Who did this...." Gary kneeled onto the floor and balanced himself by holding onto one of the luxurious sofas.

"Call... the police...." Ji Hyo shouted as Gary fumbled with the keys on his phone and had dialled the numbers of both the police and the hospital.

"Oppa, Yoon Eun Hye has done it again. We have to stop her before she kills us." Ji Hyo spoke with much seriousness.
