The final whistle sounded and everything seemed so unreal, because as of that moment I knew that people liked me. I finally let myself look at the score to see 11 to 27. My teammates lifted me up on their shoulders and paraded me around the field. Harry smiled up at me and tossed me the winning ball.

"This is for you Horan." He said. I caught it in my hands and lifted it up in the air as the crowd screamed loudly. I felt....good....I felt like people actaully cared and for the first time I didn't care that people might find me awkward or ugly.

They put me down and we all headed to the locker room. I was drowned in compliments and congradulations as I showered and changed back into my clothes. Slowly everyone made their way out of the locker room until only Harry and I were left.

"Ready to go superstar?" He asked.

I nodded as I remembered what he said just before the game. I can't wait for tonight.

"HORAN! That was the best I've ever seen anyone play! I've got out off the phone with the university. They want to see you play next weekend at the finals." Coach said as he burst into the room. I felt a smile appear on my face.

"Alright Coach, thanks." I said.

"No, thank you." He said with a huge smile.

Harry chuckled and led me out the door.

"You're mum and dad are right over there." He said pointing to a group of people.

"Niall! Baby!" My mum shouted. I couldn't help but smile at her as she ran over to me.

"Nice job Son, I'm so proud of you." My dad said.

"I didn't know you guys were coming." I muttered, feeling a bit embarrassed that I forgot to tell them that I was going to be playing tonight.

"Anne told us you were playing." My mum said.

"Yeah," I blushed. "I guess...I it slipped my mind." I muttered suddenly back into my awkwardness.

"And your going to Harry's tonight?" She asked.

I glanced back at Harry and nodded. "Yeah."

"Alright, Have fun love." She said and kissed my cheek.

"You did great tonight son."

I thanked them and followed Harry to his car. We threw out bags in the trunk and climbed in.

"So what are we going to do tonight?" He asked.

"I don't know." I said.

He laughed and started up the car. Minutes later we were pulling into his drive and climbing out.

"Mum and Dad went out after the game, so we have the house to ourselves." He said as he unlocked the door and let me in. I tossed my bag down on the ground beside his and followed him into the kitchen. He flipped on the lights and and pulled open the fridge just as thunder cracked across the sky.

"Sounds like a storm." He said wiggling his eyebrows at me. I couldn't help but laugh at him. "So what are you hungry for?"

I shrugged.

"Come on Niall! Talk to me!" He begged.

"What do you want me to say."

"What do you want to eat?" He asked again. "Anything, anything in the entire world and I'll make it for you."

"Can we make a cake?" I asked.

"Hell yeah we can make a cake." He said. "Get over here." He motioned for me to join him at counter
