Chapter 12. Hero's Quest.

"For Danu"s sake, Abbie what the Crom are you doing on my roof!"

Tanta gave out but seeing she wasn't well he helped her out as she awkwardly stumbled from the extension roof into his room.

"It's only half your roof the other half is mine!" She answered.

"Who cares!" He moaned."what are you doing on the roof in the first place."

"What were you looking at on the iPad?" Abbie asked.

Tanta went red.

Not with rage.

"What iPad?" He mumbled.

"This one." She grabbed the iPad from under his pillow. "The one you hid the minute you realised it was me at the window."

She smiled turning it on.

He went to grab it.

She pulled away.

"It's locked?" She said disappointedly.

"With a pass code you'll never get!" He grinned. "Hand it over!"

"Got it."

She smiled swiping to the iPads menu."2-2-2-0 your age."

"Give it back!" He screamed making a grab for it but Abbie held him back.

"Oh! not until I see what you were looking at."

He almost had the pad in his grip.

"By the way," Abbie said. "Your fly is open."

Damn he pulled away and looked down by the time he realised Abbie was lying.

It was to late.

Abbie was stirring at what he was watching.

For a while she said nothing as if in shock.

Then she burst out laughing.

"Xena warrior princess!" She laughed. "You are watching Xena warrior princess!"

"It's a great show beats Doctor who!" He moaned taking back his iPad.

"Wash your mouth out! Nothing beats THE DOCTOR!"

Abbie frowned sitting on his bed."Especially a show that old."

"Old? Hello Abbie. Iron Age man here. The new testament is new to me."  Tanta sat on the bed beside her.

He noticed why Abbie made him jump in the first place.

"You look like death warmed up!"

"Being possessed by the Morrigan will do that to you." She answered.

"The Morragan!"

His tone got serious. "Are you sure?"

"I know them. They where in my brain searching for you. They know you are here..."

Tanta shot up.

"If they are after me then nobody here is safe....I have to go!"

"Wait.. they found out that Catbad is here too.. They want him more."

Tanta looked at her in disbelief.

"How can you know that?"

"I know because as they searched my memories I could feel their thoughts, they want Catbad more. As soon as they found out he was here they were going to kill my family. It took all I had to fight them off-"

"Fight them off!" Tanta said shocked.

"No mortal can fight off the Morrigan. No human can defeat Death."

"Guess I got them on a bad day." Abbie smiled.

"-Anyways who cares their going after Catbad first, then there going to come after you, me and our families. We have to stop them first. We have to go on a new adventure my Hero."

She beamed.

"Your NUTS!  Abbie you can't defeat gods!"

"Been their. Done that. Do it again."

She got up and bounced to the door.

"You coming!" She smiled at him.

"Where?"

She shouted back as she left his room.
"To start our epic quest of course, Hero."
