Jade's

Last night, all the doubts in my heart were gone. Althea's sincerity in her words of assurance were enough to know that she is well committed to me, and i have nothing to worry about anything. I knew, and i feel she loves me more than anybody else.

I woke up to an irritating vibration underneath my pillow. It was althea's phone. Someone just texted her.

To my suprise it was cathleen.
'Goodmorning althea! Thanks for yesterday, masaya akong makita ka ulit. Sana we could do that more often, to catch up. If its okay with jade. Anyway, take care and have a great day!'

Ofcourse it's not okay, i don't know but there was this something about her that i was all threatened about. And the thought of althea and cathleen exchanging numbers irritates me. I didn't want them to be that close again. Althea is all mine, and i wouldn't want to share her with cathleen, or anybody else in the world.

I got up, and took a quick shower, What a bad way to start the day. Hindi ko na napansin pa si althea na tulog pa din. naiirita pa din ako. I headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Miggy then came. All dressed up in his uniform.

"Goodmorning po mommy jade, san po si mommy?" He sat down. "Ah eh, tulog pa eh. Hindi ko na muna ginising, kain ka na. Tapos ako nalang maghahatid sayo, i don't want you to be late baby."

He just smiled at me, and as soon as he was finished with his meal, we got in the car.

"Baby, may itatanong ako sayo."
"Ano po yun mommy jade?"
"Gusto mo ba si mommy cath mo?"
"Ah eh, opo mabait po siya sakin. Inalagaan nya din po ako. Masaya po siya kasama."
"Ah ganun ba.."
"Pero mommy jade, wala pa din tatalo sayo, at kay mommy."

I just smiled, and we got into his school. And I kissed him goodbye.

Somehow nawala ang pagkairita ko sa sinabi ni miggy. Nakarating ako sa bahay, to see althea on the couch. She looks like she woke up in irritation. She got into her feet and hand me my phone, naiwan ko pala.

"Oh! goodmorning daw! I'm sure kumpleto na araw mo!" Galit siya. Nagdabog at nag walk out, i checked to see what was she talking about. It was david. We were actually been texting for a little while now, kamustahan, kwentuhan. We're friends and nothings seemed so wrong about it. Hinabol ko si althea, paakyat na sana siya.

"Wait nga lang althea! Ako nga dapat mag react ng ganyan eh, nakita ko text ni cathleen sayo kanina. Nakakatuwa naman, nag-exchange pa talaga kayo ng numbers." I said it with full sarcasm. Naiinis na ko.

"So ano to, gumaganti ka jade ha?! Oo binigay ko number ko, wala naman sigurong masama dun. At gusto ko din maging friends ulit kami, hindi naman ata maganda na pakitaan ko ng masama yung tao when all she does is just be good to me! At wala akong ginagawang masama, eh sainyo ni david ha? Like theres this ulterior motive!" Alam ko naiinis na din siya, napapalakas na ang boses niya.

"Teka ka nga! Wag mo nga iparamdam sakin na parang ako ang may ginagawang masama! So ano you think that i'm cheating on you with david? Oh althea, you gotta be kidding me!!! You're unbelievable!!" I was already shouting at her, i couldn't take it anymore. Sobrang naiinis na ko. Tinalikuran niya ko at paakyat na ulit siya. Mas lalo akong nainis.

"Althea ano ba!! We're still talking, don't you dare turn your back on me! Nakakabastos ka!!"

She then looked at me, namumula na siya alam kong naiinis na din siya sobra.

"Nababastos ka jade? Ako din!!! Akala mo ba hindi ko alam? Nakikita ko ang mga text ni david sayo! At nakakairita, alam ko wala na yun, at matagal na yun. Pero kailangan ba talagang kamustahin nyo ang isat isa araw araw ha? Nakakainsulto. Hindi lang ako nagsasalita, kasi nanliliit ako sa sarili ko! Alam kong may mga bagay na kaya nyang ibigay na hindi ko kaya, lalaki pa din siya!!"

I couldn't believe the words coming from althea. she's still insecure and jealous about david, wala na yun sakin. Si althea lang ang mahalaga, yung kay david, matagal ng wala. And she knows that. Nakakainis lang na ganun siya magsalita.

"My God, Althea!! This is bullshit. What are you talking about? I can't believe this!! Nothing is going on between us, were just friends. and this isn't about sex, at wala akong pakelam kung lalaki siya. Kuntento ako sa kung anong meron tayo! At alam mo na ikaw ang gusto ko, at mahal ko!"

Is it really necessary to talk about david's capability? Cause it doesn't even matter. The thought of it just make my stomach turn. I wanted to vommit. Hindi ko nga naisip yun eh, kuntento ako sa kung anong meron kami ni althea, and as much as i wanted to have a child of my own, miggy was enough. We are family, i was content of how althea make me feel so important, and how she make love with me. I couldn't even imagine doing it with david. No offense with him but just thinking of it felt disgusting.

"He's still your ex for God's sake jade!! and you did it before! Tapos makikita ko pa na magkatext kayo lagi? Nakakairita!!"

"You said it right! It was before, althea!! Damn it! Do you actually think na gagawin ko yun sayo? At ex mo din si cathleen! I'm sure na ginawa niyo din yun! Bakit kailangan mo ba makipag catch up sakanya ha?!!!"

"What the hell! Ngayon ibabalik mo sakin, So satingin mo gagawin ko yun? I was just being nice to her, wala akong ginagawang masama jade ano ba!!!"

"Ako din althea!! Wala din akong gingawang masama!! You know what? Ayoko na makipag talo! Non sense ang usapan na to!"

I got so pissed i coudn't handle it anymore, got out and slammed the door behind me. I heared it opened again. "Jade! Hindi pa tayo tapos magusap!! Bumalik ka dito!!" Dumeretso pa din ako papuntang kotse, at di ko na pinansin pa siya.

I just drove without even knowing where to go, tears suddenly fell from my eyes, i couldn't believe we had that stupid conversation. I know where she's coming from, pero sana inintindi niya muna ako, wala naman kasing something between me and david, kaya hindi na rin sinabi na nagkakausap kami.

I thought of going to batchi and wila's house. When i got there, batchi opened the door when i knocked at it 3 times. I didn't say anthing, i just looked at her, but somehow she knew something's wrong. "Oh, tara pasok ka." I entered and sat on the couch, "sorry batchi, pwede bang dito muna ako?" I cried, and covered my face. "Oo naman noh. Kung ano man yan, nako lilipas din yan ha? Oh tara magpahinga ka muna sa kwarto." I hugged her, whispering in her ear thanks.

I was just there laying in the bed, it was a room for guests and it was exactly what i needed. Tama na dito ako nagpunta. I cried and cried, to ease the pain, gusto ko lang ilabas lahat, i fell asleep crying. Lumabas ako ng kwarto, its already evening, wila, batchi and i had dinner, neither of them tried to ask me anything.

"Inom na lang natin yan jade? Ano tara! Konti lang?" Wila said, smiling at me. And i just nodded.

We then had, our drinks.
"Jade, matanong ko lang ano bang problema?" Batchi asked. I then started to tell everything about it.

"Alam mo kase, wala kayong makukuha sa ganung usapan, lalo lang lalala. Magusap kayo ng maayos."

"Eh kasi naman, nakakagulat na ganun agad ang reaksyon niya at nagsisigawan na kami, nakakainis lang."

"Intindihin mo nalang tsong, kasi may pinang gagalingan din yun. Mahal ka nun jade, at natatakot lang yun."

Kung ano ano pa napaguusapan namen at naintidihan ko na si althea, gusto ko nang ibaba ang pride ko, hindi ko na din kaya na ganito kami.

We then headed to our room and slept. When i woke up, i took a quick shower and thought of going to althea's office, she's probably in there. And i wanted to talk to her, i want us to fix this.
