"Fine."

He stared at your pale figure laying lifelessly on the hospital bed. Hanbin felt a tugging sensation at his heart, but not the good kind. He quickly wiped away any tears threatening to fall. Why did you look like you were actually dead? You were always supposed to be full of life...

Taking your smaller hand into his he squeezed it, "I'm so sorry baby... I-I was so stupid to leave you. I thought it was for the best, it would be easier. But I've always needed you with me and, look what I did. Why didn't you tell me you were sick? Why are you giving up and letting yourself die? Please don't to this," he sniffled softly, "I love you, no matter what."

Soon day by day went by and nothing. Hanbin spent all his time by your side, even spending nights. But even so, you still hadn't woken up yet, apparently it was that bad.

"She is getting better though." A nurse said trying to reassure the young man. She could see how much he loved her and how he was being torn apart, "a lot better than before. We all were convinced she was gone."

He started to believe he was making a difference in your condition. He knew he couldn't give up yet.

Soon you were met by a blinding light as you groggily opened your eyes. It was a chore, and it hurt trying to sit up. Eventually you found yourself becoming more aware of your surroundings. A pounding feeling took over your head, your eyes killed, your body screamed from tiredness... What had happened to you? Why were you in the hospital?

Closing your eyes again you tried to breathe. It all came rushing back. That night, the pain, when you stopped caring. That's why you were here...

But the figure next to you surprised you right away once your eyes landed on him. Hanbin. He was asleep, his head in his arms on the side of the bed.

Unconsciously your fingers ran through his disgruntled soft hair. He was the reason you wound up like this, but still you loved him. Hanbin looked so calm, angelic, beautiful, but in pain. If he looked like that, you didn't want to even see what you looked like. Why was he here? He hurt you...

Suddenly with a jerk Hanbin shot up, eyes widening at you, "(Y/N), you're awake." His hand touched your cheek tentatively with a sad smile on his lips. You could tell he was tired, his voice was raspy.

"W-why are you here?"

"I haven't left you once I... I needed to know you were okay. Why didn't you tell me you were sick?"

"I didn't want to worry you."

"I deserved to know you could've been dying (Y/N)."

"Leave." Tears began to well up in your eyes, clouding your vision.

"Never again am I leaving you. I love you too much."

"But you said-"

"I lied. I need you. Physically, emotionally... God I thought I was dying, but finding out what happened to you, I couldn't take it. I'm a sorry excuse for a boyfriend... Well, ex. And if you don't take me back I don't blame you. But I want to support you through this. And I need you back in my life, please." His voice was desperate, and you could tell he was sincere. You could also see he had barely slept.

"I-I..." You really were unsure of what to do. The very moment you're back to your senses Hanbin's back in your life begging for forgiveness.

"Please, I love you..."

A tear slid down your cheek softly, "I love you too Hanbin." In a moment his lips pressed themselves to yours.

"I'm so sorry." He spoke between each kiss, "I swear I'll be better."

And of course you believed him.

Recovery had been tough, some days you could barely speak without hurting yourself. Eating resulted in constant throwing up afterwards. Maybe trying to live was just a waste of time....

"Baby you have to eat." Hanbin kept an arm around your waist protectively in line at one of your favorite cafes.

"I only want water."

"No, you're getting something more. You don't have to eat it all though."

You sighed giving in, "okay."

"Thank you." Hanbin muttered while pressing a kiss to your temple. He hated watching you suffer like this, barely being able to smile. Things were a lot better between the two of, and he was glad, but he couldn't help but be scared. What if something bad happened to you? Right now he's the only reason you're staying healthy.

Hanbin watched you anxiously take small bites of your sandwich, "baby you don't have to finish it, it's okay." He brushed some hair away from your face. Immediately you put down the food sighing.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, it's okay."

"Why can't I just get better?" You asked sadly starting to feel nauseous.

He wasn't sure how to answer you, "I don't know... But, I think you're getting better, much better."

"I hope so." You couldn't help but start to feel down, depressed because of the whole situation.

"I'm gonna be right here throughout this you know that right?"

"But what if you get bored...?"

"I won't. You're safety is my main concern." He pressed a kiss to your lips, "could I have the rest of your sandwich?" Hanbin asked cheekily.

"Well I won't be eating it so sure."

"Alright thanks." You chuckled at your boyfriend who devoured the sandwich right away. How is he able to eat so much?

"I'll be right back..." You stood up to go to the bathroom,

"You're not feeling well are you?"

"Not really..."

"How about we just go home, let's not push it today." You grabbed onto Hanbin's arm desperately for support, your head whirring, "I'm here..." He placed an arm sturdily around you.

"Thank you."

"Anytime." It felt good to know you had someone sticking by you, caring for you. But you're even more thankful that you forgave him that night in the hospital.
