"If you were to challenge me to a battle [Name], do you really believe that you could win?" Itachi bluntly said.

[Name] gulped. He always looked so calm and sure of himself. What was she supposed to answer to that? Yes, no? What kind of answer was he looking for? Maybe... No, it couldn't be that simple. [Name] sat there, staring off into the distance, searching for a response.

"If you don't have an answer, I'm going to leave." He spoke.

"Actually-" She paused as a thought entered her mind."It depends if the challenge is mutual, Itachi." She smiled. "If you don't want to challenge me back, how can there be a battle in the first place?"

Itachi smirked.

"Smart," He chuckled. "Reminds me of Sasuke."

[Name] frowned at the sound of his name. What was she doing sitting around? She was obviously wasting her time talking to Itachi. He was just keeping her away from his brother. Instead of standing here, she could have been finding Sasuke right now. Itachi looked at [Name] upsetting reaction to his brothers name.

"You can't battle him right now, [Name]." Itachi said. "You could beat him, but I can't promise that will bring him back."

Itachi watched her during the release of his words. She stood there motionless for a minute, finally finding the courage to spit out two words.

"Damn it." She muttered under her breath.

Itachi looked up at [Name] and reached out his hand.

"I could train you to become a better ninja, [Name]." He smiled.

"What makes you think I need your help?" She yelled, pushing his hand hard away from her.

Itachi sighed and brought his hand back into his black and red Akatsuki jacket. [Name] watched Itachi's calmness, and was eventually cloaked in jealousy. She wanted to be like that. She wanted to be so confident in her ability, that she would always know what was going to happened next. [Name] wanted to see her sister one day and be able to say that she was a great ninja on earth. She didn't want her sister to think that she died without any purpose. [Name] reached her hand out toward Itachi. He looked slowly up at her face and then toward her hand.

"What do you say?" She asked, smiling.

"What do I say?" He chuckled. "You have mood swings, but I guess we'll just have to work on that."

[Name] smiled. While Sasuke was out there being evil and all, she was finally going to have time to focus on herself, and just herself. Sure, she was getting better for Sasuke's sake, (like she always was) but this training would also aid her in everything else she had planned to do in her lifetime. It was finally her turn to be envied by others, and how happy that made her, I can't even be explain.

Itachi walked in front of [Name], leading the way to what he said was a "secret base of some sort", at least that's what she heard him say. They walked for what seemed like hour after hour, day after day. But Itachi could always tell when [Name] was about to collapse of exhaustion, so he was constantly slowing down for her sake or allowing her to nap for a hour or two. Eventually, [Name] collapsed, which meant that Itachi was to either stop the journey for a little while, or to just carry her. From what any reader could guess, Itachi carried her the rest of the way.

When she opened her eyes, she was in what seemed like an enormous cave. The ceiling was so high up, that it seemed to be a pitch black. The surrounding walls were all a mix of dark aquamarine and a dark purple, with the casual spikes of stone shimmering through the cracks. As she looked at the ground, she realized that it was covered in a slimy dark blue water. Keeping her feet up on the bed, she began to shiver.

"Itachi?" She questioned, searching for around aimlessly.

[Name] sighed. There was no sign of Itachi to be seen. Sacrificing her leather sandals, she stepped into the warm, muddy water. At the touch of the water, her body instantly felt fuzzy and warm. The room she was in was enormous. It seemed like 10,000 elephants could fit in there. Walking to one arch took about 15 minutes, so [Name] prayed endlessly, hoping that she was heading the right way. Sadly, she wasn't. But Itachi still appeared in front of her. But with Itachi appearing out of no where, he startled [Name] greatly, making her fall straight onto her back.

"Hello, [Name]." He spoke, chuckling.

She rubbed her head and pulled herself up off the ground.

"Where have you been? I've been walking around looking for you and you just appear out of no where now? Why didn't-"

"[Name]." He interrupted.

Their eyes met. Whatever he was about to say, she knew it was going to be completely serious.

"Yes?" She asked cautiously.

Itachi sighed and looked down. He stood there, staring at the ground for about a minute, finally looking at her once again.

"Here begins your training." He smirked. "Good luck."

And with those last words, he disappeared into a crowd of bats, leaving her to begin her training.
