As I walked to class with Theo, I
couldn't help but grin. Although there was sound coming out of his mouth, my brain wasn't processing anything he was saying. I hadn't seen Lydia in what felt like forever, and all I could think about at this moment was how badly I missed her.

We rounded the corner to our classroom, and my heart skipped a beat. There she was, Lydia, standing by the door. But my excitement quickly turned to irritation as I noticed who she was talking to—Jaydon.

Jaydon was leaning against the wall, his body angled towards Lydia. He had that cocky smile plastered on his face, the one he used when he was trying to impress someone. I could see Lydia smiling politely, but there was something in her eyes that told me she wasn't as interested as Jaydon thought.

Theo must have noticed my change in demeanor because he stopped talking and looked over at the scene unfolding in front of us. "Looks like Jaydon's at it again," Theo muttered, shaking his head.

I clenched my jaw, trying to keep my cool. "Yeah, he is."

Jaydon's voice carried over to us as we approached. "So, Lydia, how about we grab dinner tonight? There's this new Italian place I've been wanting to try."

Lydia's smile faltered slightly. "Oh, Jaydon, that's really nice of you to offer, but I have plans tonight."

I could see the disappointment flash across Jaydon's face, but he quickly masked it with another charming grin. "No worries. Maybe another time then?"

Before Lydia could respond, Theo and I reached them. Theo, always the peacemaker, immediately jumped in. "Hey, guys! What's up?"

Lydia's face lit up when she saw us. "Hey, Theo. Hey, Chance."

Jaydon straightened up, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at me. "Chance, Theo," he acknowledged us with a curt nod.

I gave him a tight smile. "Jaydon."

Theo, ever the social butterfly, kept the conversation going. "We were just heading to class. Ready for class?"

Lydia laughed softly, "Yup"

Jaydon's eyes flicked between Lydia and me, and I could see the gears turning in his head. "Well, I'll catch you later, Lydia," he said, giving her one last smile before turning and walking away.

As we walked into the classroom, I couldn't help but notice the tension radiating off Chance.

As we walked into class, Theo walked in first and I was just about to take that opportunity to ask Chance if he was okay as his jaw was clenched so tight, but at the moment Max walked up and wrapped his arm around Chance and I's shoulder.

"Hey guys what's up ?" Max said walking into class with us.

We all sat down together, Chance and I separate of course as to not draw attention to ourselves, but I couldn't help continuously glancing at him and his stiff demeanour, he was clearly bothered by the Jaydon.

As the lecture started I couldn't find it in me to focus on the lecture, things have been so good with me and Chance lately and I couldn't understand why he was in such a piss mood right now.

As the lecture continued I eventually excused myself from class and headed towards the washroom.

...

I rounded the corner of the hall, I walked into the single stall bathroom.

But before being able to close the door a strong arm pushed the door open.

Before I could react, Chance pushed his way into the stall, closing the door behind him.

"What are you doing Chance?" I found myself say out of breath.

"I came to remind you who you belong to" He growled as he locked the door.

"I don't like that Jaydon thinks he has a shot with you"

"He doesn't" I responded breathlessly.

"But he thinks he does" Chance said as he step closer to me, my bottom hitting the sink.

A pool was forming in my core as Chance stepped right up to me, rolling up his sleeves.
