Patience

Good things come to those who wait
But sometimes love just can't beat fate
And you'll realize all too late
Patience was your fatal trait

You let the time just pass you by
Watched budding relations wither and die
Making all the others cry
Because you didn't try

You'd wait and wait the day away
Days to months to years, you lay
Waiting for a special day
On which you'll finally play

So off the bench you go
And you're feeling ready to blow
And end up falling low
Because you were too slow

Waited and waited all that time
Patience was your final crime
