The lies that fester behind your teeth
The sneers that wait behind your smile
Wrath, so patient, in it's sheath
And I fell for your laughter all the whileThe tears that shine behind your eyes
The sobs that cling behind your tongue
Sorrow, so deep, hiding your cries
And I fell for that simple song you sungThe shaking that sits behind your skin
The shadows that linger behind your heart
Fear, so rich, weighs you down like sin
And I fell for you right from the startI've missed everything and nothing
I just chose what parts to love
