A man speaks to his audience
All lined up in neat rows
Wearing their red textured vests
And tan little bows
"They call me crazy! They won't listen!
Every word that I say swims through their ears!
They claim I only speak through my fears!
But tonight we have gathered together to fight this war of attrition!"
His audience clapped and whistled for him
As the setting sun behind grew dim
Some people off stage would mutter,
"No one is listening, What has that man in a twist?"
So he turned to them and shouted "Liars!" with a raised shaking fist,
"I know you can hear them!"
He composed himself and stood back tall
And turned back to the crowd
To be faced with only a brick wall
