He stepped closer, slow and deliberate, until there was barely any space left between them. The air shifted-heavy, suffocating. Vihaan Rathore bent slightly, leaning down to her level
His eyes locked onto hers
A faint, dangerous smirk touched his lips
"The world doesn't run on truth, vakeel sahiba," he said quietly, his voice low "It runs on power..." He paused, his gaze never leaving hers. "And I own it."
"Power doesn't make you right, Mr. Rathore," she replied, her voice steady, refusing to waver. "It just makes people too scared to question you"
His smirk faded slightly, replaced by something darker... more interested.
She took a small step closer instead of away, closing the gap he created. "But I'm not one of them," she added softly. "And in my courtroom, truth doesn't need power to win."
For the first time, Vihaan Rathore didn't interrupt.
He just watched her-like she had just become the most dangerous thing in his world.
