Siddhant's POV. -

I carefully laid Mishti on the bed. I made sure her hair wasn't crushing under her while tucking her in the bed. I removed the jacket and covered her with a comforter. Surbhi instantly sat beside her while Dida came towards my side. I inhaled while staring at her face and moved back. Dida sat down and caressed her head softly. I blinked while gulping the lump forming in my throat.

"Mishti."

Surbhi whispered while shading a few tears. I felt my chest tightening and I walked out of the room. I sighed and palmed my face remembering the last few hours.

Everything happened so suddenly and unexpectedly. But what I did left me shocked too. I can't believe I filled vermillion in Mishti's hair.

I married her.

As I grope the reality, I felt my chest tightening and my breath shortening. I went towards my room and sat on the bed. I couldn't stop the tears falling from my eyes.

I shut my eyes close feeling my blood boiling as I remember each word of Abhay. How dare he touch Mishti? How can he be so ruthless to hurt her? My fist tightened as I tried to calm myself down. I would have punched the life out of him only if Mishti wasn't there. Recalling her drained face made my heart bleed. She turned so weak. And what I did was unbelievable.

How the hell I married her without even getting her consent?

She was already suffering so much and I added something more to her pain. I shook my head trying to get rid of the tightness in my chest. But it just increased more. The more I visualised her pain, the more it hurt me.

I flinched feeling a hand on my shoulder and looked up. I saw Maa standing in front of me making me look down and wipe my tears. She caressed my head.

"Siddhant."

I bit my lips and kept looking down. She patted my shoulder and sat beside me.

"Are you regretting what you did?"

She asked making me look at her abruptly. I shook my head instantly and looked ahead.

"I don't regret what I did. I regret how it happened."

I mumbled and sniffled. She wiped my tears causing me to burst into more cries. She rubbed my back making me let my pain flow with tears.

I calmed a little and wiped my tears before looking at her.

"Did the doctor come?"

I asked and she nodded lightly.

"She's checking her."

I nodded and stared at the ground. She sighs making me look at her. Her face had turned pale. And her cheeks were also wet.

"Maa."

I called her making her look at me.

"Did I do something wrong?"

I asked making her stare at me before she looked down. I gulped at her silence.
