Mishti's POV. -

He started the drive making me giggle. He's not that akdu as he is with me. Maybe it's just because we have been just fighting and fighting since day one.

I was feeling hungry so I took out the chocolate bar from my bag. I glance at him and smile before forwarding him one. He peeked at my hand before shaking his head.

"I don't like sweets."

He said making me stare at him for a second. He glanced at me after a minute with a raised eyebrow. I clicked my tongue before opening the chocolate and taking a bite.

"Tabhee itanee kadavi jabaan hain."

(That's why you have such a bitter tongue.)

I muttered taking another bite of the chocolate and he scoffed.

"How does your family tolerate you?"

I asked with a chuckle and he changed the gear a little aggressively. I looked at him with a little wide eyes.

"I thought we were friends."

He murmured and his lips pouted a little. I couldn't help but giggle. He glanced at me with a frown.

"I was asking generally. I told you everything and you didn't even tell me how many family members are there in your family."

I said shrugging my shoulders while saying and he glanced at me.

"I have a big joint family. And no one tolerates me. They love me."

He said stubbornly. I smiled and turned a little towards him.

"Joint family?"

I asked with excitement and he smiled a little, before nodding his head.

"Wow!! It must be so fun right?"

My voice turned curious and he chuckled a little.

"Why are you so fascinated?"

My smile faded with his question. I looked down at the chocolate.

"Hey. I...didn't mean it that way. It's just..."

He said in a hurry and I raised my head before shaking my head.

"No no. I just got excited hearing about joint family. I've never experienced it."

I admitted and he smiled lightly.

"Well yes, it's fun. Until you get scolded for your sibling's mistakes."

He chuckled making me chuckle too. The mention of siblings reminded me of someone. I went back in my memories to remember how someone got scolded because of me too.

"Do you have any siblings?"

He asked snatching my attention and I blinked my eyes nervously. I gulped not understanding what to say.

"Are you an only child?"

He asked with a tint of amusement.

"Wow. Your parents must be spoiling you a lot."

I felt numb. Parents? A sad smile appeared on my face. I wish I had one. Maa's face popped in front of my eyes making me suck a breath.

"Are you okay?"
