Siddhant's POV. -

She left with tears trailing down her face and I stood numb at my place. Not even my wound hurt me as much as her tears did. I sighed and lowered my gaze.

"Usaki baat ka bura mat manana beta."

(Don't feel bad about her words son.)

Dida said causing me to bring a small smile to my face and shook my head.

"She behaves like that when she's frustrated or hurt."

She added and pulled my hand to make me sit on the swing. She took the cotton from the first aid box and tapped it on my wound slowly.

"I'm not feeling bad. I just wonder...how much pain is she hiding in her heart."

I said and glanced at the stairs. Even now I'm damn sure she must be crying and blaming herself for everything.

Dida wrapped the bandage on my hand.

"She is used to it. Her heart is full of love and care. If you want to see the pain, then you have to go deeper in her soul. Otherwise, it's very hard to see her pain."

She smiled weakly making my heart churn. I blinked and looked at my hand wrapped in the bandage. I licked my lips at the thought of her suffering alone.

Dida stood up and patted my shoulder.

"I'll call the doctor. You need to be checked or you might get an infection."

She said and walked away leaving me alone in the hall. I sighed and raked my gaze around. My eyes fell on Maa standing in the corner. She sighed and walked towards me. I hid my hand behind my back and stood up with a small smile.

She came closer and held my hand before taking it in the front. I bit my lip and lowered my gaze. I know she would not like me getting hurt. But she just smiled and caressed my hand.

"Don't leave her alone, ever."

She muttered without looking at me. I stared at her and smiled before hugging her. Maa is very sensitive, emotionally. She gets upset easily seeing others in pain. Especially the people she's close to. She must have seen Mishti crying.

"Don't worry. I'll never."

She rested her head on my chest making me pat her head.

I came back to my room after a while and sat on the bed. I was still angry at that boy. How can he be so cruel and stubborn? If I hadn't been there today, God knows what he would have done with her. The thought alone sent a shiver down my spine. I closed my eyes and rested my back against the headboard. I closed my eyes and tried to calm my nerves.

"Siddhant?"

I heard Prem's voice and opened my eyes to see him coming into my room. Following him, Bhaiya also came. I sat straight and looked at them.

"OMG, how does this happen? Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere else?"

Prem bombarded me with questions and looked at me up and down. I sighed and looked at Bhaiya who shook his head in disbelief.
