Chapter 16 the wedding

Beneath

the canvas of a sky painted in hues of gold and lavender, the beach becomes the

theater for the union of Cathedral and Scott. The air, saturated with the

essence of the sea, hums with anticipation. Cathedral, adorned in a gown

reminiscent of the waves' gentle embrace, feels the ocean breeze tangle in her

hair as she approaches Scott. Her heart, a fluttering bird within her chest,

sings a melody of both nervousness and a deep, abiding love.

Scott,

standing sturdy in his tailored suit, watches Cathedral with a mixture of awe

and expectancy. His gaze, like the steadfast lighthouse against the tumultuous

waves, captures the essence of her stormy eyes, mirroring the sea's turbulence.

The sand, shifting beneath their feet, seems to whisper secrets of the journey

they're about to embark upon.

Morana,

the enigmatic maid of honour, imparts words as velvety as the seafoam. Her

voice, a calming tide, carries the weight of the moment. Cathedral's thoughts,

a swirling tempest of dreams and affirmations, reflect in the quiver of her

lips. Scott, his expression a canvas of determination tinged with

vulnerability, senses the gravity of the promises that hang in the air.

The

arch, adorned with cascading Carnation flowers, stands as a living tapestry of

love's endurance. The vibrant hues, swaying with the rhythm of the breeze,

mirror the passion and vibrancy the couple hopes to infuse into their journey

together.

Vows,

spoken with an intensity that matches the crashing waves, linger in the air

like a haunting melody. Cathedral's eyes, pools of stormy intensity, lock onto

Scott's, expressing a depth of commitment that transcends words. Scott,

captivated by her gaze, feels a surge of emotion—a concoction of love,

gratitude, and the weight of responsibility.

The

exchange of rings, tangible symbols of their shared destiny, brings a hushed

pause to the beach. Scott's fingers, steady yet tender, delicately place the

ring on Cathedral's hand. The cool touch of metal against skin sends a shiver

down her spine—a tangible manifestation of the profound significance of this

moment.

As

Morana declares them partners in this grand symphony of love, Cathedral and

Scott seal their commitment with a kiss. The applause from the gathered

witnesses melds with the roar of the waves, creating a crescendo of

celebration. The beach, now a stage for the drama of their love story, bears

witness to the magic woven beneath the canvas of the setting sun.

The

celebration continues into the night, with the beach illuminated by the soft

glow of fairy lights. Laughter, music, and the rhythmic beat of dancing feet

resonate against the moonlit sea. Cathedral and Scott, embraced by the

fragrance of Carnations and the lingering echoes of their vows, weave their

story into the fabric of the night—a story bound by promises as enduring as the

ebb and flow of the tides, eternally etched in the sands of their shared

memories.
