I decided to go bolder so I did a new hair. I tied my hair into a high ponytail while staring at my reflection in front of the mirror. I narrowed my eyes as my fingertips trailed down on the black veins on my neck down to my collarbone.

I prepared myself for a defense and felt the black veins crawling up my neck but I instantly calmed down when I saw Val's face. He closed his right eye and stared at me using his left eye, his mystic eye.

"What's wrong with you? Didn't the late High Priest already shower blessed you?" I can sense the panic in his voice. I pushed him away but he just caught my hands. Nalukot na lang ang aking noo nang maramdaman ko na ayaw niya akong pakawalan.

"What's wrong with you? Please let me go." Binalik ko sa kaniya ang tanong niya. Natigilan ako nang makita kung paano siya tumitig sa akin. I waited for any reactions from his body yet he didn't flinched or yell.

"Why does my body feel lighter right now? Yet I can see how a dark aura flows all over your body. Who did this to you? Tell me, I can do everything to bless you instead," he whispered in a low tone before letting go of my hands. Nalukot na lang ang noo ko dahil hindi ko tama kung tama ba ako ng rinig.
