The next morning, I wake up and notice Rogue is still asleep next to me. I smile and take this time to observe his features. His black hair is messy, but still adorable. And his mouth is slightly open, which is also adorable. I trace my fingers gently along his perfect jawline, and he smiles, startling me. I didn’t realize he was awake. He opens his eyes and I smile at him, “Good morning, beautiful.” He says, and I chuckle slightly. “Morning, handsome.” I say. He also chuckles at my words and looks over my shoulder at Sting most likely. That’s when I notice that it’s cold behind me, and I roll over to see Sting is standing on the balcony of the hotel room, looking down at the city beneath him. I get up and walk over to him, wrapping my arms around him from behind. He chuckles and turns around to face me. “Morning, Princess.” I smile up at him, “Morning. Why are you out here? How long have you been up?” He smiles at my concern and says, “Not very long. I woke up about an hour ago. I was just thinking that I might get to fight Natsu today. I can’t wait.” He smiles adorably, like a little boy looking forward to christmas. I smile and kiss him softly. “I’m sure it’ll be great.” I say, and he smiles with me. We all get ready and eventually, we’re back at the balcony in the colosseum as always. Minerva is playing in the first game today, and it’s called Naval Battle. This should be interesting.

A huge ball of water is floating in the center of the arena, and the challengers enter the ball of water. Shelia from Lamia Scale, Jenny from Blue Pegasus, Leslie from Mermaid Heel, Juvia from Fairy Tail B, Minerva from Sabertooth, who the crowd goes crazy for, and Lucy from Fairy Tail A. Oh and that one dude from Quatro Puppy is also in this battle, but no one really cares about him. No offense to him, but he’s not a curvy woman in a bikini like the rest of the competitors are. Honestly, Juvia is a big contender for the win here, but she’s probably going to get distracted by simping for Gray. Lucy summons Aquarius, and Juvia counters her, the two of them in a huge one on one fight. While the two of them are busy fighting, the others take the time to attack each other. Jenny immediately attacks the only guy in the fight, kicking him out of the game, shouting about how boys aren’t allowed. That’s funny. Then, Aquarius decides to leave to go hang out with her boyfriend, and Lucy grows frustrated. Now Lucy is defenseless, and she summons Virgo and Aries. Both of them are in bikinis, and the guys go crazy. Juvia then uses a spell to knock Jenny, Leslie, and Shelia out of the match. However her main goal was to impress Gray. She looks over to him to see how he reacted to it, and Minerva takes this chance to knock Juvia out of the match, shocking her. Sting smirks at what she just did, and says, “M’Lady sure is mischievous. She could’ve won right at the start. But she let them take each other out so she could conserve her magic.” The rest of us also smirk, knowing that this is about to get really good. Now it’s just Lucy and Minerva. Minerva smirks, “End of the line. I could send you flying out of here in the time it takes to blink. But the people came for a show and I intend to deliver. Try to survive, and be sure to scream.” My stomach drops at her words, worried for Lucy. However, I use every ounce of self control I have to not show it on my face. We have to act like what’s about to happen is funny to us, even if we find it extremely hard to watch. Minerva attacks Lucy with pure heat repetitively. While Lucy is distracted by the pain, Minerva takes her Celestial Keys. She sends Lucy back with another attack, and it looks like she’s about to fall out of the circle of water, however she stops herself just in time. Minerva smirks and attacks her from behind, using the same heat as before. Lucy glares at Minerva, determined. “Hit me with your best shot!” Minerva attacks her two more times, but Lucy comes right back. “I’ll keep fighting!” Minerva raises an eyebrow at her, “Oh really? You’re sure you don’t want out of this torment?” Lucy doesn’t look up at Minerva, and says, “You want me to give up? Not happening. If I quit after my friends fought so hard, It’d be worse than betrayal! I won’t do it! Hurt me all you want, I don’t give a damn!! I’ll win! MY GUILD WILL BE NUMBER ONE AGAIN!!” She shouts at Minerva, giving her the clear message that she doesn’t give a crap about Sabertooth. My fear suddenly grows for Lucy, knowing that she pissed Minerva off. She stopped her relentless attacks, and they’re both just floating there in silence. Damn it, I told them not to be stupid when it comes to Sabertooth. I’m not sure I can watch this. The timer goes off, saying that the five minutes have passed that would send the loser to last place. Now if one of them loses, she’ll get second place. Minerva suddenly glares at Lucy, and sends another heat attack at her, this one WAY stronger than the others. The hair ties that hold Lucy’s hair suddenly burn away from the heat, and Lucy cries out in pain louder than she was before. Minerva keeps sending multiple attacks just as painful as that one in Lucy’s direction. “You haven’t learned your place, have you? Maybe this will teach you who you’re dealing with!! We are Sabertooth, the mightiest guild beneath the heavens!! YOU BELONG ON THE GROUND!!” Minerva teleports Lucy to suddenly being in front of her, and she physically attacks her, kicking her in the back, punching her in the stomach and face. Natsu shouts for Minerva to stop her attacks, but she’s not listening to anyone right now. Rogue and I don’t make any faces at all, we just close our eyes and keep our expressions neutral. The others smirk over at Erza, Gray, Natsu, and Wendy. Erza, Gray, and Natsu send killer glares our way and shout simultaneously, “You guys are gonna pay for this!!” Minerva smiles evilly and says, “Have you learned your lesson or should I keep beating it in? I’m fine with that. REMEMBER THIS THE NEXT TIME YOU THINK OF DEFYING ME!!!” My stomach turns sickeningly, and the referee stops the match, afraid Minerva might kill Lucy. Minerva holds Lucy by her neck, and Lucy isn’t moving at all. Shit. The team players of Fairy Tail immediately rush to her aid, hoping to help her. Shelia and Wendy immediately start to heal her, worried. The other members of the other guilds are also trying to help in any way possible. Minerva gracefully lands on the ground as we also appear at her side. Erza and Natsu glare at Minerva, pissed. “What a scornful expression.” Minerva says, pointing out Erza’s face. “You can glare at me all you want if it makes you feel better. But remember that I acted in full compliance with the rules of the competition.” Erza steps forward, “That may be true. But you went way outside the bounds of basic human decency.” Minerva chuckles and says, “I was simply trying to entertain the crowd, that’s all. To be quite honest, you should be thanking me. She got second place didn’t she? She could have never done that without my help. Rufus, Sting, and Olga all stand challengingly in front of Minerva, ready for a fight, smirking at Erza, Gray, and Natsu. Rogue and I remain by the side of Minerva, seemingly unbothered by this. We all get ready to fight each other, and the crowd gets excited to see us all fight. Gray makes eye contact with me, and suddenly says, “I’m starting to guess that this is a tradition in Sabertooth, huh?” Rufus chuckles and says, “Whatever do you mean?” Natsu glares at him, “Taking things way too far! You really think you can just beat up whoever you want and no one will hate you for it?” “We couldn’t care less what other people think about us. The truth of the matter is that we’re just way too strong for them to actually do anything about it.” Sting says, smirking at Natsu. Natsu steps forward, about to attack Sting, when Erza holds her arm out in front of him, stopping him. “Although you may be considered the strongest guild in Fiore, you’d be wise to heed this warning. Listen carefully, making an enemy of Fairy Tail is a decision that you will regret.” She glares at all of us coldly. We remain at our standoff for a while, but eventually the Fairy Tail wizards leave to take Lucy to the infirmary. The rest of us make it back to the balcony, and Minerva turns to me. “Erza Scarlet. The red head. Did you really beat her senseless, Candy?” I nod shortly and immediately walk away, “All of this annoying threatening has me starving. Want anything guys?” I ask, and Rufus replies, “I’ll have whatever you’re having, Candy.” I nod and walk out. The minute I’m far enough away, I break into a run, heading towards the infirmary where Lucy is. I burst in, “Is she okay?” I ask, and the others look at me, shocked I’m here. “Candy? What are you doing here? What if someone sees you?” Wendy asks, and I shake my head, “Minerva can whine about it all she wants. I couldn’t care what she thinks after she pulled a stunt like that. That bitch.” I’m clearly angry, but I purposely tone it down, not wanting to cause a scene. The others nod, smiling thankfully that I came to check on Lucy. She lays in bed, unconscious. We all remain there for a minute, silent. Team B for Fairy Tail walks in, “Any word on Lucy’s condition?” Juvia asks. “Is she awake?” Mira asks, and we all notice that even Gajeel and Laxus came to check on her. He nods at me, smiling slightly upon noticing I’m here, and I nod back, glad to see him. Natsu glares, “They’re gonna pay!” He growls, pissed. Laxus adds, “You can sure as hell bet on that one.” Lucy then stirs, waking up. We all smile at her, glad she’s awake. She looks around the room, and the first thing out of her mouth is, “You guys. I’m sorry.” We widen our eyes in shock, and Natsu says, “Say what? Why are you apologizing?” She covers her face with the sheets and says, “Because I screwed up again.” Gray smiles and says, “Are you kidding? Second place is nothing to be sorry about.” Wendy then adds, “We got eight points in that round.” Erza nods and says, “Yes. Good job.” Lucy moves the sheets down and says, “But, I lost my keys.” Happy walks up to her and gently says, “I’ve got them right here.” He hands the keys to Lucy and she smiles, “Oh, that’s a relief. Thank you, Happy.” She then falls back asleep. Poor Lucy. “I think she’s going to be okay.” “But we still can’t let those guys get away with this kind of crap!” “I feel the exact same way.” “Lousy bunch of scumbags.” Natsu then turns to me, “Sorry Candy. But I’m not pulling any strings, I don’t care if they’re your friends or not!” I shake my head, “No it’s fine. Honestly, the only ones I care about in Sabertooth are Sting and Rogue. Lector and Frosch too. I can barely tolerate the rest of them. Even then, Sting and Rogue need to be beaten at least once in their lives, and I’d rather it be Fairy Tail who beats them than anyone else.” Natsu nods at me, thankful that I agree with him. Mira then walks up to me, “Candy. Did you know Minerva would be this cruel to Lucy?” I shake my head, “No I didn’t. However I do know that she’s basically a sadist. She enjoys seeing others in pain, and would often use that as a way to teach the members of Sabertooth how to ‘behave’. If Rosie were still alive, she would probably do that to her to keep me in check. Minerva is the daughter of Master Jiema, and she’s the main problem. The first master might have already figured this out, but the only one who can really beat her is Erza.” The others widen their eyes at me and Erza also looks at me, shocked. “Why me?” I sigh and say, “Because you’re amazing at defeating selfish pricks who believe they’re better than anyone else. Not to mention, your second origin is added power that she’s yet to even know exists. Also, you’re the one who intrigues her the most. Right before I came here, she asked me if you were the one I beat the other day, during our match. I don’t know how, but she’s going to hit you Erza, hard. And you need to be ready for it. You can’t underestimate her.” Erza nods at me, and Master Makarov walks in. “That’s my que to leave. I’ll see you all later.” I wave at everyone and head to the concession stand to get some food for me and Rufus.
