Everyone has a party as they catch up with everyone who remained for the past seven years. They all get excited as they hear about the changes that occurred. Erza’s not so excited, “YOU’RE MARRIED?! C-Congratulations! When did this happen?” She asks nervously. Alzack and Bisca smile, “About five years ago.” “Sure wish all you guys could’ve been there! Poor thing nearly passed out when I proposed. It was adorable!” Alzack turns to Bisca, embarrassed, “Did you have to bring that up?” Erza grabs the collar of the nearest person to her, which unfortunately for him, was Max. She starts to shake him violently, “NO! HOW COULD YOU GET MARRIED WITHOUT ME THERE?!?!” “Would someone stop her?!” Mira and Elfman observe in amusement at Erza’s reaction. Lisanna approaches them, “That’s wonderful! Do you have children?” “We have a daughter.” Bisca says happily. Alzack smiles proudly, “Yeah! We named her Asuka.” Over by the bar, Makarov speaks, “I must say Kinana. It looks like the past seven years have treated you well.” She smiles at him and says, “That’s so sweet of you! Thank you Master.” He nods and says, “So, tell me. Have any of your memories come back yet?” She continues cleaning the silverware as she says, “No, nothing so far. I wonder why. Although, there have been times when I can hear someone calling to me. ‘Let me hear your voice.’ They say. And sometimes, I feel as if I know them. Candy used to help me try and remember who they are, but we never made any progress.” Kinana looks down sadly, and everyone else in the guild who had stayed grows silent, Romeo’s smile disappearing. The Tenrou Island group looks around confused. “Why did everyone get so quiet?” Wendy asks. Evergreen then says, “What’s wrong with mentioning Candy? Where is she anyway? I was wondering how she and Rosie were doing.” The rest of the Thunder Legion and Laxus all nod their heads in agreement. When no one answers, Lucy grows nervous, “Okay. Now I’m worried.” Natsu from next to her just says, “Come on. Just tell us where Tiny is!” Laki starts crying as Makarov turns towards Macao, “Macao? What happened? Where are Candy and Rosie?” Macao looks down at the ground and says, “We don’t know where Candy is. She disappeared five years ago.” Everyone looks at him shocked, and the Thunder Legion’s faces all pale. “What do you mean you don’t know where she is?! How do you just lose track of your guildmates?! And what about Rosie?!” Lily listens anxiously. Max steps in front of Macao and stops people from yelling at him, “Calm down. Nothing that happened was only Macao’s fault. Candy disappeared. We couldn’t find her no matter where we looked. But Rosie…..Rosie…..She died.” The exceeds and the Thunder Legion all listen in horror at his words. Happy starts to cry, “Rosie……..died? But..how?!” Jet looks at the floor, “We don’t know. Candy and Rosie went on a job and when we didn’t hear from them in a while, we went looking for them. All we found was a village in ruin due to various elements and Rosie’s dead body. We spent the next year searching for Candy, but nothing turned up. However, we have heard rumors.” Warren continues for him, “At first, we heard about small sightings of Candy around Fiore, going all the way to Crocus. But then, the rumors changed to a homeless, monstrous looking woman wandering the streets, looking for food. She would pose as a threat to people, but then she would kill any thieves or vagabonds causing trouble. People view this woman as a vigilante who needs to be recognized as a hero. We’ve had some people come to us with bizarre theories that Candy was this woman, but if that’s true then it means she’s just wandering the streets killing people she doesn’t like. That doesn’t sound like her!” Max yells at Warren in despair, tears falling down his face, “Warren!! We’ve discussed this! It might be her! The damage to that village was crazy! We have to hope it is her!” Warren turned to him in anger, “Are you seriously suggesting that Candy is a murderer?! We don’t even know she’s alive!!” Suddenly, a loud crash of thunder stops their fighting and they all turn to see that Laxus has punched the wall to the guild, destroying it. Bickslow’s ‘babies’ are not flying, instead they’re lying on the floor, lifeless. Evergreen and Freed have silent tears flowing down their faces, and Lily sits quietly, unmoving. Laxus glares at Macao, “You let a child go on a job that could possibly get her killed and you didn’t even go with her?!” Macao looks at him in fear, “She wouldn’t let us! She said she had some dragon slayer friends who could protect her! We were just trusting her judgment!” “THE LAST TIME SHE MADE IT A GOAL TO GO AGAINST THE WISHES OF HER GUILDMATES, I NEARLY KILLED HER!! REMEMBER THAT!?” Everyone freezes at Laxus’ hint to when she was sent into a coma by him. He glares at Macao and storms out of the guildhall. Lily walks out, changing into his battle form. “I need some time to myself.” Happy and Carla start crying terribly, their friend and cousin dead. Wendy looks to the ground, “Poor Candy.” Makarov speaks up after a while, “Who were these dragon slayer friends?” Jet speaks softly, “The White Dragon Slayer and the Shadow Dragon Slayer. The twin dragons of Sabertooth. They must’ve left her for dead when she trusted them with her life.” Levy places a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. Freed speaks through his tears, “She’s okay. She’s always been strong. She’ll be fine.” Evergreen turns to him, bawling, “Freed, what are you saying? She was always fine because she always had us AND Rosie with her! Now she doesn’t! How can we even guarantee that she decided to go on living after losing Rosie?!” Bickslow suddenly jumps up, “Are you seriously suggesting what I think you are Evergreen?! She wouldn’t do that?! None of us would! We’re going to look for her, and we’re NOT GIVING UP until we find her!!” With that Bickslow then storms out of the building. Evergreen covers her mouth as she cries even more, “How old was she?” Freed asks. Wakaba looks at him grimly, “15.” Natsu grits his teeth, angry. “Do you even know who killed Rosie?” Max answers him, “The job was to stop that dark man from terrorizing a village again. The man who was specifically targeting her, remember?” The dragon slayers nod, knowing exactly who he’s talking about. Suddenly, Wendy remembers something, “That’s what it was!” Everyone turns to her, “What what was?” Natsu asks her. She looks at the ground in thought, “Acnologia’s scent was familiar to me, but I couldn’t place it. Now I remember, it was the man we found with Candy that one time! In the dream!” Natsu and Gajeel’s eyes widen in shock, realizing she’s right. Gajeel mutters, “Wait, so the man targeting Candy has the exact same scent as Acnologia? How is that possible?!” Erza then chimes in, “I don’t know, but right now we need to focus on other things. I’m sure Candy is fine, and I know she would want us to smile for her and continue partying.” The others reluctantly nod and they all slowly get back into the partying spirit, but the Thunder Legion’s absence as well as Lily’s is very noticeable. Eventually, Levy and Gajeel go out to check on Lily. They hear the sound of a sword hitting wood not too far away from the guild hall, and they head towards the sound. They find Lily angrily swinging his sword at a tree, almost ruining it. “Lily! Stop, you’ll ruin your sword!” Levy shouts, and he drops his sword as if it was extremely heavy and looks at Levy and Gajeel. Their eyes widen in shock as they see he has tears cascading down his face. “She’s gone! She’s gone!” He falls to the ground and Levy quickly goes to catch him in a hug. “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry I wasn’t here!! Forgive me!!” Lily shouts in agonizing pain as Levy hugs him tightly. Gajeel looks on in shock, he’s never seen Lily like this before. Of course, they’ve only known each other for a short time, however their bond did grow stronger on Tenrou Island. They’re like brothers. He didn’t realize Rosie was THAT important to him. And honestly, Lily didn’t know it either, until he lost her. Levy starts to cry at the pain in Lily’s voice and she hugs him even tighter. “Don’t worry, Lily. Don’t worry, we’ll avenge her I promise.” She says lightly to him, trying to comfort him. He nods, without saying a word. As the members of Fairy Tail continue to hang out and celebrate, the members who went to Tenrou Island all come to a realization. Their guildmates suffered a lot in their absence. They went through so much pain and suffering and confusion, yet they remained strong and kept Fairy Tail a loving guild. They waited seven years for them. That’s a long time to wait.
