Dear Mom,

Thank you for never making me feel like a stranger in my own home.

Thank you for making sure I always ate, and was fed, and clothed.

Thank you for coming here when you did and taking such good care of us, often to the expense of yourself.

Thank you for always looking out for us, and for giving breath to our lungs, and breathing life into our beating hearts.

Thank you for all the gestures that went unnoticed, and all of the ones that didn't.

Thank you for all of the years of laughter and tears and hard work and love.

Thank you for believing in us when we couldn't or refused to.

Thank you for changing your dreams to give us ours.

Thank you for the sacrifices you've made that have affected you emotionally, financially, physically, and psychologically.

Thank you for always fighting for us, when we forgot to do so ourselves.

Thank you for the millions of 'thank you's we forgot, and the hundreds of billions that we'll always be short of.

Thank you for holding us in your heart.

It's an honour to have you as a mother.

It's an honour to have come from such a loving soul.
