A/N: Before we get started, I just wanted to say that I'm gonna be time skipping 3 and a half months because nothing really interesting happens during this time. Since it's been roughly a year since Tanjiro finished the final selection, here are all the character's ages so you're not confused:

Tanjiro sheathed his sword as he finished up his daily training session. He lifted his arms and stretched his sore muscles. He thought it was a good idea to cram in an extra hour, but now he was slightly regretting it because of how tired he was.

"Hmmmgggg!! Ah man....I'm tired..."

The night was quickly approaching, so he wiped off the remaining sweat on his body with a towel and sat down on the porch. He pulled on his uniform shirt onto his upper body and rested his head against a nearby column. He could feel the sweet release of slumber start to take him, as his eyes felt heavier and heavier as he gave in to his tiredness.

Fighting sleep was pointless.

Hours later, Tanjiro was still sitting on the porch, nodding off. He was resting against a column with a happy grin on his face. He was given a mission earlier in the day and was just waiting for nightfall so he could head out.
