Tanjiro could feel his eyes flutter awake. He was lying face-up on a bed while staring at the ceiling. Almost immediately, he was hit with soreness from all over his body.

Tanjiro sat up but grimed at the sharp pain in his abdomen. He looked down at himself and saw he was entirely bandaged up. His chest, right arm, and heel. His bandages were slightly stained with red showing that his wounds weren't entirely closed yet. Both of his arms were connected to some IV bags. He looked around the room he was in and recognized it.

He slumped back on the bed, tired and in pain. He could feel his head pounding with a headache. The last thing he could remember was the fight in the entertainment district. The door to his room opened and Kanao walked through it. She saw how he was awake and was surprised.
