Information about AU:
I'm sure most of you know what an Omegaverse AU is, we are on Wattpad after all, if you don't, there are quite a few other books on Wattpad about omegaverses, most of them are DNF but really good! It just makes it easier on my part so I don't need to explain everything :D
But now that we've got that out of the way! Here's some other information about this omegaverse AU
Roles:
A brief summary of roles: Roles are basically what kind of status you are in society, omega, beta, or alpha.
Alphas: The highest role, the most powerful in society, usually the richest/have the most privilege, can't be marked.
Rut is a thing alpha's go through triggered by an omega's heat, it's similar to hear but less painful and uncomfortable, mostly just gives higher libido or a need to protect others especially mates.
Betas: The sort of middle class of roles, they usually work for an alpha but have their own rights and normal privileges, can't be marked by an alpha, only other betas.
Omegas: The lowest role, usually only useful to be mates or caretakers in society. Can be marked by an alpha and once marked, the omega is legally the alpha's property. They have heat once a month, when an omega is in heat their smell can be smelt by others. Heat is basically just very uncomfortable for the omega, they can be in pain, just really warm, (or have a higher libido). They can take heat suppressants to make the pain and smell go away for a short period of time.
Royal Alphas:
A role I have created for my AU, Royal alphas are very similar to regular alphas, simply just a little bit more powerful, scent blockers (omega's may use these to hide the fact they are omegas), do not work on them.
Mating:
Mating is an act done with an alpha and an omega where the Alpha bites down on the Omega's scent glands (located in the neck or sometimes thighs) and "marks them", an omega's scent will change after being marked, meaning others can tell they are taken.
