Riley's Point Of View

I lay in my bed looing up at the ceiling as I replayed on what just happened, Avery brought me out for dinner, defended me from Charles, and she gave me her number, she's being so nice to me, does she like me, or is she being nice out of her own heart?

I let out a sigh as I turn onto my side as I look at her contact information on my phone, a smile slowly crept on my face as I realized that I'm happy that she gave me her number, that she took me out to dinner, and she actually stood up for me on my own behalf

I shake my head, I can't give her so much trouble, but she likes to be with me, she said so herself, and I like to be with her too

"I should get her something to say thank you" I whisper to myself

I then sit up in a crisscross position on my bed as I adjusted the oversized sweatshirt that I was wearing, I then scrolled through various websites to see what Avery might like, my eyes then fell on a fountain pen with costume golden writing for a name or a quote

A slight smile formed on my face as I placed and order for it and gotten her name on the side of the pen with red and black packaging

Once I placed the order, I spent some extra money that I could get it tomorrow and delivered to my dorm, the smile on my face grew as I get up from my bed and walked over to my closet, scanning the clothes that I have for tomorrow

I then hear my phone go off for a notification, I look over my shoulder before walking back over to my bed and picked it up, I then looked at the notification to have a text message from Avery

My eyes widened as I looked at her notification over and over again, I gulped down a lump in my throat as I opened the message

Avery: I had fun today, do you want to go out for lunch before tomorrow?

I blinked at the text a couple of times before having the courage to respond 

Me: Of course, I would love to!

I then saw her typing for a moment before sending her message

Avery: That's good, I'll come pick you up around 12

Avery: Is that okay?

A smile on my face somehow grew wider than what I could even imagine

Me: Yes that is good

Avery: Alright, good night darling

I looked at the pet name that she gave me 'darling' why does that make me feel good? When every other person gave me a name like that I immediately become annoyed, but with Avery? That doesn't happen, I like it when she calls me those names

I put my phone back on my bed and turned back to my closet, I scanned the clothes in my closet to see all of the clothes that hung up, I then picked out my light pink plaid skirt, a cat V-neck sweater, a white button up, and a white knee high socks

I then threw it all on my bed and walked out of my room and over to my shoe rack, I pick out my black Converse high tops and put them near my door, I then walked to my bathroom and picked out my black cat choker and layed it out for tomorrow

I let out a satisfied smile as I walked back to my bedroom and a started to fold my clothes neatly and put them on my chair, once I was done I put an alarm on my phone for 11:00 am so I can get ready 

I looked around my room to see that I was basically done getting ready for tomorrow, I turned on my TV and put on a documentary as I put all of my school supplies away along with putting my phone and my laptop on my chargers

I then slid in my bed as I pulled the book out of the small shelf next to my bed and started to read while listening to the documentary in the background for white noise, as I flipped the pages I slowly gotten more tired and more tiered and soon enough I fell asleep

After what it felt like hours I heard a creak in my room, I open my eyes slightly as I look around to see a silhouette of a person, around Avery's height, the silhouette then looked over at me and walked towards me, I rub my eyes, I must be dreaming

They then put their hand on my cheek as I subconsciously leaned into their touch, it felt familiar somehow

"Why are you still up darling?" they said softly

Even the soft voice feels familiar for me somehow, I let out a groan as I rubbed my eyes, the person then let out a chuckle

"Go back to bed darling"

I shook my head

"No..."

I groan for a moment before having the hand move away from my face and the silhouette shuffled around slightly before sitting on my bed with the same familiar hands being wrapped around my waist and pulling me in closer to them

"Now lay back down" they whisper

My eyes somehow grew heavy as I fell asleep on the unknown person neat to me, I felt their hands hold me as they patted my head and whispered sweet nothings in my ear

All of a sudden I was woken up by my alarm, I frantically looked around to see no sign of a person that broke in, so it was actually a dream, I let out a sigh as I turned off my alarm to hear my doorbell ring, I slip on my rabbit slippers and fixed up my sweatshirt as I walked to my door, I opened it slightly to see a package on my front step, I let out a smile as I picked it up and put it inside on my counter

I walked back to my room and put on the outfit that I picked out yesterday, I then walked to my bathroom and brushed my hair and my teeth before putting on my choker and bracelet on, I sprayed myself with some perfume before walking out of my bathroom and to my living room

I walk to my counter and grab the scissors and cut open the package to see the fountain pen already packaged perfectly around packaging peanuts and paper

I carefully take it out of the box and set it on the counter, I then walked away from it and to my room, grabbing my Zelda bag and put in my wallet, phone charger, keys, lanyard, and my phone, I then walked back out to my kitchen and put my bag, I then heard my doorbell go off again, I walk over and opened to my door and opened it

I look up to see Avery, she was wearing grey dress pants, a white button up, and a matching vest, she gave me a smile as she gave me a box

"Chocolate, for you" she said

I let out a smile as I looked down

"Thank you" I say as I move out of the way "You can come in if you want"

She then nodded as she walked in and looked around, I put the chocolates on the counter as I put the box and it's packaging in the recycling

"Would you like something to drink before we go?" I ask

"That's alright princess, I'll be fine" Avery said with a smile on her face

Blush rose on my face as she called me another pet name, but this time all of my face grew hot, I then quickly composed myself as I grabbed my bag and walked towards her, Avery then looked at me with a smile on her face

She then slipped her hand around my waist pulling me in close to her, my eyes widened as this felt so familiar, as if this already happened already

"Let's go princess" Avery said

I nodded my head as we exited my dorm locking it and walk together out of campus and to the street where she had a car waiting for her, it was really fancy a Mercedes along with a driver, I stood there in awe for a moment before being nudged by my arm, I look up

"Come on, we have a reservation" Avery said as she walked towards her car

I follow her in the car, she let me go in first before sliding in herself, I looked out of the tinted windows as she talked to the driver, I then felt a hand on my thigh making me jump, I look over at Avery who had a blank stare on her face for a moment before giving me a smile

"You ready?"

I gave her a smile back as I nodded

"Yeah"
