the fight

"they're coming!" Adain says bursting through the door to the office.

"round up the troops!" I say to him.

" i have. " he says.

"come Rose" Seth says leading me out the door.

"we won't go down without a fight." He says.

"what ever happens, i want you to know it was a pleasure fighting with you all!" I announce. "remember your training and try not to get killed. Help eachother out and focus." I continue. "positions!"

There was atleast 400 of us ready to fight.

Some wolf, some demigod, some both, some a little more. All fighting for the same reason.

"what ever happens i want you to know that i always loved you and that will never end." Seth says to me.

"i love you too Seth." I tell him.

"ah. Alas my friends. I told you they knew we were coming." Scarlett says as she emerges from the trees.

"hmm i guess you're right but i knew that the entire time." A male says as he emerges from the same spot.

"such a shame we'll have to kill them all." He continues.

"you and what army?" Nessie yells.

I knew what was coming. We were going to be ambushed.

We were all surrounded.

All in the same place.

Exactly what they wanted.

"i think you know." Scarlett says.

There were at least a thousand of them.

A thousand blood sucking vampires.

Ready to kill anyone in their path.

I turn to look at Seth.

'i love you.' He mouths to me.

'i love you too' i mouth back.

"oh don't start the feasting yet. I still have a gift for the guest of honor." Scarlett says.

My eyes widen as she brings out Lucas, my ex.

"Lucas!" I yell.

He looked like he had been beaten and starved half to death.he had dried blood smudged across his chest and face.

My Lucas was hurt and Scarlett did this to him. Oh she was going to pay.

You have to remember, lucas would be still be my fiancé if i hadn't watched him die by the hands of ....

Wait.

Lucas should be dead.

I held him in my arms as he drifted.

I sang to him.

that can't be Lucas.

Lucas was dead.

I was there when he died.

"No," i say surprising even myself. "that's not Lucas." I yell at her. "lucas is dead!"

"on the contrary. He's alive don't you see. He was part of my plan. I needed him. To get to you." She says.

"what?"

"well i couldn't let him die if he was the link to your undoing." She says standing tall. " but now that i have you here."

I watch as two vampires come up behind lucas and push him to the ground so he was standing on his knees.

"kill him." Scarlett said sternly.

"no!" I yell, seth holding me back from running to my fiancé.

I struggled but Seth wouldn't let me go.

I watched as they tore him as quick as it started it ended.

there lay Lucas, torn to bits.

I stopped struggling as tears started to fill my eyes.

"you're gonna wish you hadn't done that!" I scream at Scarlett.

almost at once the vampires zeroed in on us and attacked.

It looked like a battle feild in a movie.

People fighting everywhere.

Bodies everywhere.

Death everywhere.

I focus my energy on Scarlett and charge at her, she easily threw me to the ground.

We rolled around. Kicking and punching, and biting at eachother's neck.

I heard something crash against the tree behind me, which caught me off gaurd and gave Scarlett the advantage to push me off of her and run.

I can't let her get away.

But i can't let my friends and family die.

So i decide not to run after her and to help out Seth.

Two vampires had cornered his wolf.

I quickly sneak up behind one and bit into his neck, savoring the blood to bring me to a frenzy.

In two quick seconds he was to the ground and the second vampire tried to attack me.

I throw him to the floor but he gets up fast.

Seth manages to escape but doesn't run very far.

he stops and turns around.

What the hell is he doing?

He's supposed to run.

Thats the point of escaping.

Then i realize it.

He's trying to distract him.

Just as i think this i feel a sharp pain in my wrist.

Shit.

The vampire bit me.

The venom won't affect me much but it burns.

I scream, earning a whimper from seth. I lay there in pain as i watch the vampire charge at Seth.

There's no way he's hurting Seth.

I jump onto his shoulders and easily break his neck with a simple twist.

I hear his scream echo but i don't flinch.

I spark a fire with the matches i brought in my pocket and throw the match onto the body.

"ok seth I'm going to go find Scarlett." I tell him.

"i love you." I say.

There were now just about 200 vampires left. They could be easily defeated.

I run off into the direction of Scarlett's scent.

I reach a cliff over looking the ocean when the scent disappears.

"humans are so predictable,aren't they Rosie?"
