after evie's unbearable icebreaker, the girls were on campus, uma looking through audrey's diary as they snooped her room to find possible information, while the guys searched to find ben.

"did you find out anything we don't already know?" mal asked. y/n let the two girls talk as she walked over to celia.

uma spoke about how audrey hangs out at dairy cottage, bickering with mal about something random as both y/n and celia checked themselves out in the mirror.

celia went to grab some of audrey's jewelry, but y/n stopped her. "girl, just because she's bad doesn't mean we are. if you give those up i'll buy you something pretty, after this."

celia smiled and took the jewelry off, giggling as she stood up and all the girls left audrey's room.

y/n walked down the hall and checked her phone, seeing a locked notification from jay.

y/n walked into one side of the castle, somehow separating from the rest of the girl group and going to the dorms to see if she could find lilac and evangeline.

she walked down the halls, finally coming across the dorm and opening the door, seeing stone versions of lilac and colton, studying together on lilac's bed while evangeline and mabel were on eva's bed, laying together with a computer in front of them.

y/n couldn't help but feel sad when she saw her little friends turned into stone, but was brought out of her distress when she felt a hand on her shoulder.

she turned and saw dakota, looking down at her with a frown.

a wave of confusion washed over y/n before her brother dragged her out of the room and aggressively down the hallway.

"where did you-"

"i followed you, and snuck past the border and i came back and everybody was turned to stone, i saw the news and they said it was audrey? i don't know what is happening!" dakota rambled about how he felt like it was his fault and he could've done something, fidgeting with his fingers before y/n stopped him.

"koda," she slapped her hands on dakota's shoulders, to which he winced and mumbled, "ow! sunburn."

y/n laughed and then looked him in the eye, "it's not your fault. even if you were here you literally could've done nothing to stop audrey. i'm kind of happy you followed me otherwise you'd be sleeping or stone."

dakota's puppy eyes turned to his resting ones; and he nodded his head, snapping out of his sappy trance. "okay."

y/n removed her hands from his shoulders and grabbed him by the arm, "now, follow me, we gotta go find ben."

when y/n and dakota started searching, they didn't know what to expect, or where to look. how are you supposed to locate a king who can magically turn into a raging hairy beast?

y/n and dakota were walking past a tree, when they felt air blow behind them and heard a growl.

"what the fuck?" dakota mumbled and the two turned around to see ben, in beast form, able to tell it was him because of his brightly colored uniform.

his face and hair was excessively hairy, and you and dakota both gasped as he roared at you.

"oh my god," y/n tried not to laugh at ben's appearance and quickly realized the urgent situation she was in when ben grabbed koda's shoulders and started shaking him.

"holy shit, okay," y/n said. she heard a yell from behind her, and turned to see jay, carlos, harry and gil, who were all running up to the situation with surprised expressions.

y/n let ben torture her brother a little bit before pulling off her ring, crushing it in her hand.

the boys behind her watched her, slightly confused with that the fuck she was doing but watching as she grabbed ben's hand.

jay watched carefully and couldn't help but get a little jealous when ben's hand touched hers. y/n placed the magic dust from the liquid into his hand, and watching as he transformed back into his human version, ben's face forming from beast to boy. when he finally turned back fully, he pulled y/n into a hug and picked her up, spinning her around.

y/n laughed and smacked his head, "ben, put me down!" he laughed and put her down, pushing his longer grown hair behind his ears.

"i'm sorry y/n," he exclaimed, his voice higher pitched then normal but still speaking like a king declaring something, "it's just so great to finally see someone i know that's not turned into stone!"

jay clenched his jaw, watching the two interact as he felt a nudge at his shoulder. "getting jealous, huh, jay?" his accent thickly proclaimed/

jay rolled his eyes. "shut the fuck up, harry. i'm not jealous. no one's talking to you." harry laughed at jay's aggression, knowing damn well just from that jay was extremely jealous.

you rolled your eyes as ben rushed over to the other villain kids, greeting them and asking where mal has went.

carlos spoke first earning a giggle from gil, "follow us. come on, try not to hulk out on us on the way."
