CHAPTER SIX,
enemies-to-lovers live action.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

the day the royal parents came to auradon was usually a shit show. the year before, two single parents went to hook up in the bathrooms. regardless of who they were, they should've gotten that out in their teenage years.

bens song never got old though, his singing was... unique. angelica and y/n always enjoyed a good song, as long as it wasn't cringe.

which is exactly why they couldn't help but laugh as ben started rapping.

the two snickered behind the boys as they rapped. y/n spotted jay from the balcony, he appeared to be laughing at her as she danced and sung. she flipped him off for a millisecond, so he was the only one to see, and then she continued.

the crowd full of hungry parents cheered as the villain kids went to the food table, the song ending quickly.

belle walked over and complimented the group of teens, "that was so lovely!"

y/n laughed and patted ben's shoulder, "right. ben's rapping could use a little more rhythm, though."

with a laugh from belle, y/n followed carlos' dog over to the table, where all the vks were sat, devouring the fruits and sticking literally everything into the chocolate fountain.

"woah, y'all, slow down please. we don't need a third year in a row of parents day incidents." jay turned and when he realized it was y/n he hid the strawberry behind his back, and wiped his mouth.

she laughed and watched as carlos eyed him, watching as his demeanor completely changed when she approached him.

"what happened the last two years?" carlos asked, stuffing another fruit kabob into his mouth.

y/n leaned in to the two boys, "well, two years ago, mulan, lonnie's mother almost fought prince charming, chad's father, because he made a slightly mean comment," she scoffed, "she did nothing wrong."

"and last year, the same two parents snuck off to have sex in the handicap bathrooms," both of their faces raised and tried to hold back their laughter, "i didn't think i'd ever see an enemies to lovers in real life, and yet there i was."

carlos' face scrunched into confusion, "what's an enemies to lovers?"

jay cleared his throat as if he was about to completely nail the answer to his question. "it's one of the books she has been reading, she also likes to read kink-"

he was stopped abruptly when y/n slapped a hand over his mouth. "okay, thank you, jay!" carlos snickered, but not for the reason jay thought.

he smirked and watched as the two in front of him started bickering, slowly realizing that may be what's going on in front of him. a brief enemies-to-lovers live action.

y/n stopped herself when she saw her mother, tiana talking to cinderella, who was behind her. "jay, if you excuse me," she said, gently brushing her arm against his as she walked past him. he couldn't help but stare at her as she walked past.

carlos started giggling to himself when she was out earshot. "what's so funny?" jay asked, still staring.

carlos paused, "bro, you are whipped!" he said, grabbing another strawberry and dropping it into his mouth by the stem.

"what does that mean?" jay questioned, sitting at a picnic table and setting his arms down.

carlos cleared his throat and started to whisper, "you are slowly falling in love with a smart girl from the isle who you just met!" after he whisper yelled, jay, immediately began denying it.

"no, no, i'm not in love with her, everything you said is completely wrong. well, she is smart. and pretty. but i'm not in love with her, i just think she's cool."

carlos scoffed, "famous last words, pal." jay rolled his eyes and got up to grab another strawberry.

"all i know is that i'm not in love with her, i don't even know what love feels like?!" he began to ramble, and carlos got up and stopped him.

"stop, stop, stop. listen to me, jay." carlos said, grabbing jay's shoulders and looking him in the eye. first, jay avoided eye contact, but then he finally listened.

"just because you don't know what love feels like, doesn't mean you aren't experiencing it. i've seen the way you look at her, man, and hell i've seen those winks you give her, too." jay began to laugh, quietly.

"i know you two just met but friends don't look at friends that way." jay started to look at the ground, finally thinking about his feelings and what is really going on in his mind.

meanwhile, while jay was contemplating his entire month at auradon, y/n was finally reuniting with her family after half a year.

"y/n, darling!" her dad said, walking over and embracing his daughter with a huge hug. "hi dad, hi mom!" she hugged both of her parents, and nudged her brother out of his vision as they bombarded their children with many questions.

"how are you two all grown up, already?"

"how are you?"

"has anybody hurt or messed with you?"

"how are the villain kids?"

y/n stopped them after the last question and began answering. "i'm good, no one has messed with me, and if they did dakota definitely would find out and would kick their ass. i'm okay. and the villain kids aren't as bad as everyone perceives them."

dakota smiled at his sisters response, completely agreeing. "everyone is making such a huge deal out of the villain kids being here, but in reality, they're just people, like us," he sighed, "they aren't their parents."

tiana nodded and listened to her son rant about the villain kids. "i honestly feel bad for the kids on the isle, because i know they would give literally everything to be here." walter's smile slowly dropped as the conversation continued, showing sympathy.
