Sohini:

Mom put the breakfast on the table as i start to gulp it because I'm again late. Brother comes and takes a seat then asks the same question again.

"You don't wear that blue coloured headphone around your neck? Where's that?".

Food get stuck. I can't swallow. Should I tell the truth?

"It got broken", I reply showing no expression. Both of them gasp.

"What? HOW? WHEN? And why didn't you tell me?", He shouts. I really hate it when someone shouts or even tries to talk with me in the morning. I'm really nit a morning person.

"How it got broken? Tell us?"

"Well- bullies. They snatched it and broke it. I couldn't do anything because some students were holding me at that time-"

Brother slams his palm on the table making a loud noise. He's fussing in anger. "And you're telling me now? HOW DARE THEY? What you do in school? Why didn't you go to the principal?".

"I had no mental support back then. I'll pay you, don't worry-"

"Seriously? I gifted you that on your last birthday, Tom! You used to listen to songs with that headphone and wear it around your neck everytime you go to school. I- just fuck off", with that saying he goes to his room.

I sigh. Bad starting of a day.

I stumble on something as I fall to the ground. I look up only to see that stupid faced idiot is laughing at me. I clench my jaw as I get up.

"Morning, pretty prig", he says, crossing his arm around his chest, leaning against the wall.

"What's your damn problem huh? I just came and you made me fall on the ground. I just hate you for this. What you want?"

"You talked shit about me with Jake. I'll not leave you. Beg me on your knees!"

"Never. First of all I never talked shit about you with Jake. I surely did with my friends. But that's because you talked shit about me at first. I'll never get on my knees for a jerk like you. And the crap i said about you is nothing compared to what you said about me. So please", I walk.

"Oh god, long lectures huh? But still! You said bad about me right? Apologize-".

We see Ayush in our way as we both stop. "Hey dude", Jason pats his back. "Are you going to play basketball today?".

"Actually no", Ayush stares at me and I feel like he's telling me to leave. So I step forward. "Don't leave", he says to me and I stand still listening to their conversation.

"Why?", Jason asks.

"Because Asher is throwing a party today's evening. Everyone is invited actually. You're also invited", he says to me.

"Party? For what?"

"Two years anniversary completed with his girlfriend. It's kind of hilarious. But we get to eat good dishes and dance and enjoy".
