Although my body is in the classroom, my mind is somewhere else. Could it be that I'm sleep deprived? Or perhaps it's because I skipped breakfast? Nah, alam ko naman yung sagot kung bakit ako ganito. Napahinga ako ng malalim at sinubsob ang mukha ko sa desk ko. Everything has been fine until now, bakit bigla naman naging ganito? Ang hirap na talaga maging sobrang saya ngayon.

"Ms. Abadino!" Napa-angat ang ulo ko nang biglang may humampas sa desk ko. "I've been calling you many times. Why are you sleeping in my class?!"

Shit! My bad luck is on a streak, huh? "I'm sorry ma'am. I'm not feeling well."

Hinilot hilot ko pa ang noo ko para mas mag mukhang kapani-paniwala. Maingat na sinilip ko ang reaksyon ng prof ko, nakatingin lang ito sa'kin na para bang tinitignan kung nagsasabi ako ng totoo. Kaya lalo ka pa ginalingan ang pag-arte, umubo pa ako ng konti. Please naman sana effective!

"If you're not feeling well, go to the clinic. Doon kayo magpahinga, wag sa klase ko." Tumalikod na siya at bumalik sa harapan.

Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag dahil doon. "Thanks ma'am." I said before I got my bag and left the room. Matutulong na lang muna siguro ako sa clinic, hindi pwedeng buong araw ako magiging lutang. Te-text ko na lang siguro sila Shana na daanan ako doon mamayang lunch so we can eat together.

I felt sleepy as soon as my back touched the bed. This is all her fault. Maganda sana tulog ko kung hindi lang siya ulit um-epal sa buhay ko. What are the odds, right? She's always right there just to bring misfortune into my life! Una yung sa bathroom, ang dami na pwedeng student na makasabay ko sa CR, yung katulad pa niya na sobrang bitch. Tapos ngayon eto naman? God! I hate her to the core.

Inayos ko ang pagkakahiga ko hanggang sa nakatulog ako. I hope all of this is just a dream.

"Catley! Catley!"

I woke up when I felt someone gently tapping my cheeks.

"Buti na lang napansin kitang dumaan sa tapat ng room." It's Shana, she looked so concerned. "I asked your classmates, hindi raw maganda pakiramdam mo?"

Right. I forgot to text her. "Just lack of sleep. Kanina ka pa ba nandito? Is there still time for lunch?" Bumangon ako at sinuot ang shoes ko.

"Hindi naman, ilang minuto pa lang ako nandito. Let's go. Naza is already waiting at the canteen. She bought your food already. Ba't ka naman napuyat?"

"School works." I simply said bago naunang naglakad palabas ng clinic.

Pagpasok ko pa lang ng canteen, I felt weird. I lowered my head to hide my face. Feeling ko lahat sila ay nakatingin sa'kin.

"There they are!" Rinig kong sigaw ni Shana kaya inangat ko ang ulo ko.

But that was a big mistake. I stopped in my tracks when I noticed that all of the students inside the canteen were staring at me. Ang iba pa dito ay nagbubulungan. What's their problem?

Nilibot ko ang paningin ko and there I saw her, she was looking straight at me with no emotions at all. Oh no, did the word get out? I started to panic. No no no! This can't be real!

Patakbo na sana ako palabas ng canteen nang makita ko si Hunter sa likod ko. He is holding two plastic bags. He's looking at me with a charming smile, as if he's expecting me to turn around.
