I rummaged through my duffel bag before leaving the classroom to see whether I had water and a towel so I wouldn't have to go to the locker room before going to the field. Save time, less pagod pa.

As cheerleading captain, I need to come up with a fresh routine to keep our audience entertained. Para hindi sila magsawa sa'min at masabihang paulit-ulit na lang ang sayaw. I really love doing this. Kaya I want to give them a satisfying performance. Yung kakabahan sila, but at the same time nae-excite. Mapapatayo sa upuan nila at mapapapalakpak dahil sa bilib. And lastly, but certainly not least, they smiled after seeing our performance because they were captivated.

"Catley!" My friend Shana, the co-captain, was visible when I peered over my shoulder. She was running towards me.

"Bakit?" I asked at pinagpatuloy ang ginagawa ko.

"Sabay na tayo." Umupo siya sa katabing silya. "Good thing na maaga kami pinalabas nung panot." Saad nito habang nakatingin sa nails niya.

"Okay." After my bag was zipped, I carried it on my shoulder. "Let's go." I walk boldly. Why? Because I am confident that my appearance will compel them to drool over my body.

I can't help but smile nang makita ang mga mata nila na nakasunod sa'min. May mga napapa-second look pa. Yup, it is the power that comes with being the co-captain and captain of a cheerleading squad. Kaya hindi na kataka-taka na pinagtitinginan kami pag napapadaan kami sa harap nila.

Hindi naman sa pagmamayabang but I deserve this title. To earn the captain's title, I put in a lot of effort. I've been a part of the cheerleading since high school. Because of this, getting into last year's tryout was not all that difficult for me. Nakapasok ako in a natural way. Wala silang masasabi sa'kin kung bakit ako ang captain this year.

"I finished the part that you gave me. May nabuo na akong steps."

"That's good para agad na rin maituro sa iba." ​I said and clung my hand to her left arm.

"Wag mo naman sana kami pahirapan mamaya. I'm tired na rin kasi." Maarte niyang saad tsaka mahinang binundol ang balikat ko.

"We'll see kung walang tatamad-tamad mamaya." Hinarap ko ito tsaka binelatan na ikinairap naman niya.

"Ang daya talaga." Pagmamaktol niya. "Dapat ako na lang captain para chill lang. Yung mas marami pa ang chikahan moment kesa magpagod."

I shook my head, "buti na lang hindi nangyari 'yon. Walang future sayo ang team. And you are free to change your club, missy. Go to Vlogger club."

Sasagot pa sana siya kaso sinalubong na kami ng kapwa namin ka cheer. "Captain!"

Actually, this university has four gyms, bukod pa sa open field para sa ibang sports. This university is really competitive when it comes to sports. Kaya naman todo support ang school. The volleyball gym and basketball are in the same place. Magkapitbahay lang while the other two gyms ay nasa kabilang side. And kami dito sa open field which is for soccer too. Lalakad ka lang ng konti mararating na ang volleyball gym then basketball gym.

Madalas na dito kami mag-practice dahil hindi naman ganon kami kabilad sa araw dahil na rin sa mga puno, but there's a different story when it's raining. We have to practice inside the gym, kung saan man ang libre.
