fire dance

Like a phoenix,
I dance through the flames
And I enjoy the feeling
Of dancing through these flames
And embracing the pain
Of the burns that mark my flesh

But when others would stop,
Or when others would fall,
I rise up and I remain tall
No matter how hard it may seem
I rise up to the fiery scene

The fire dance is a beautiful thing
But it's not like it doesn't hurt
As I dance through flames and dirt
I feel alive and I thrive
The fire grows and engulfs me whole

But I am used to the pain, so I dance
Again and again, I make the most of this
The life I've been given sure hurts like hell
But still, I embrace the pain like a spell

Underneath the flames, I glow
Beneath the stars, I shine and shine more
It's time to show you the truth of the world
But more and more,
You'll learn and grow
While I shine and glow

The fire dance is all I know
But I'll embrace it,
No matter what the show
I hope you'll watch me burn
