I wanted to make Namor regret what he did to my mother. My blood boiled just from thinking of what this monster did to my family. My mind was screaming to kill him on the spot and get over it, but a side of me was pulling me back into his calm and enchanting brown eyes. I didn't know why my mind was all over the place, and why it felt like I couldn't control my emotions or my body, and so I let go and fell into his embrace. Having sex with him felt like heaven and yet guilty was dragging me to hell.

The time of the Gala Fest arrived. My long dress came in dark blue slowly melting into greens and cyan thanks to its velvety material. There was a slit on the side, giving space to showcase my right leg. My heels had very thick laces towards my ankles with figures of silver and blue butterflies to conceal the wings against my legs. A clutch purse with tiny butterflies made of different blue stones finished the look.

I wore my hair down, parted in the middle, and with a dainty silver and light cyan tiara on top. The earrings, choker made of diamonds, and a single ring on my middle finger were carefully selected beforehand. My lips were a dark red like wine, accompanied by a simple cat eyeliner. Getting ready by myself would have been impossible, thankfully I had a professional dressing me up.

Namor was waiting downstairs. My heart was throbbing like crazy for some reason. I wondered what he would look like, although I tried to push that thought back and focus on getting my revenge.

His warm eyes tensed as soon as he saw me, glaring from head to toe as if I was a strange specimen.

He's beautiful.

Namor was wearing a dark green suit without a bow and just a thick necklace around his neck. He had a black rebozo with its ends embroidered with gold in different patterns. His hair was perfectly combed, and his sides cleaned as he always rocked that faint mohawk. The holes on his ears were filled with plain golden studs and surprisingly, a golden septum thick piercing. Namor sported a dainty and thin golden watch and a single thick golden ring that resembled a snake on his ring finger.

I swallowed hard and awkwardly stood there in front of him, trying to look away. Shuri was beaming, excited, and Aneka wouldn't stop complimenting the two of us. Shuri gave me a look and walked away, giving us privacy for whatever reason.

"Princess, you take my breath away."

Namor said, leaning closer as the back of his hand caressed the edge of my jaw down to my neck where my choker rested. I swallowed once again, feeling that heavy piece of jewelry strangle me. I nervously glanced back at him and gave him a smile as best as I could.

"You look nice too, Roman Mejía."

He laughed, placing his hand on my back and sliding it down my waist as he left it there. Namor always wore beautiful clothes and jewelry, but the simplicity of his current look was melting me away.

We walked to the car and Shuri went back on to remind us of the plan. It was simple, and yet with so many eyes on us, it would be a tedious task. I am an introvert who struggles with words, but Namor is an ancient being who most likely can give away his peculiar identity if we aren't careful enough.

Aneka took us to the Gala Fest, but the traffic was terrible. In the meantime, we listened to some music as I did my best to look outside the window. I could feel Namor's eyes sliding up and down my body. His right hand slightly twitched as if he tried to grasp for something that wasn't there. I crossed my legs, one over the other where the slit of my dress reveals everything. I heard him swallow and lick his lips, which I of course ignored. There were different ways to make a man suffer and this one was my favorite.
