Chapter 8 Insight

The tear-stained face of a Bad Boy has been leaning against the door for quite some time.

His mind and soul are filled with so many insights that he can no longer bear the heaviness.

This door is meant to carry them.

The apartment door that is to be their threshold of a home for a year.

The door from which Fourth left their home unthinkable time ago.

And Gem waits for him to enter it again.

They were each other's home after all.

Fourth is his home, after all.

How can he leave their home?

Gem has lost his home.

And an eternal circle seems to be broken.

Gem's insight showed mercilessly in his bright epiphany.

Until he could grasp the big picture, more and more truths of insights penetrated him.

Fourth was gone.

And it all began at times Gem kept trying to find.

Where does it all begin and where does it end?

When Fourth closed the door behind him, it was suddenly so clear to Gem that they had crossed all boundaries.

Facts and insights showed themselves so clearly to him.

Processes.

Decisions.

Everything swirled and Gem decided to review last night chronologically.

The twist when Mark suddenly joined them.

The Bad Boy on the prowl.

And this man flirting with his Fourth.

He was burning with jealousy.

Why didn't he realize that?

Gem knows that burning so well.

Always with Fourth.

He always burns when another man approaches him.

And yesterday he burned so fiercely that he didn't even want a threesome with two beautiful women.

He only wanted Fourth.

So open and clear that desire.

Gem's insight slammed into him with a heavy thud.

How could he deny himself like that?

All he wanted was Fourth.

Always had.

Gem was timelessly unable to move while still slumped in the hallway outside the door.

Timeless.

A realization that formed him into a pillar of salt of guilt.

An eternally damned idiot.

All he ever wanted was Fourth.

And his truth he showed Fourth.

Gem remembered their kiss.

And the scenes of their lust he only felt swirling within him.

And a painful stab shot through his body as he saw Fourth's hurt sobs before him.

Fourth thinks he's a substitute for the Toys.

Gem swallowed that realization.

Fourth is the original after all.
