Apocalypse [Ellie Williams]

◜chapter one◞

"well i appreciate your mercy" Riley nodded, Ellie asking the girl if shes okay "im fine, i just ran away for a bit... that's all"

The two friends conversed for a little while, catching up on what was missed over the past few weeks.

"look this thing, i need you to promise me something but its sort of crazy and you're gonna say no but then you have to say yes" Riley told the brunette "come with me for a few hours and have the best night of your life

"no" Ellie turned away from the girl

"okay, now say yes" Riley deadpanned

"im not going anywhere with you. Its... great its two am and in a few hours i have drills where we learn to kill fireflies"

"but i have a surprise and i think you'll like it" Riley grabbed the discarded trousers on the floor and threw them at ellie "get dressed"

"so stupid" Ellie shook her head and walked by her bed making Riley grin "turn around"

"your so weird about that, i bet if it was Cassie here you wouldnt be saying anything" Riley teased but turned around anyway

The voices of the two girls told Cassie that her friends where close, with a smile she got up from where she was sat on the floor and stood by the doors, crossed arms as she leant her back against the wall. It had been just under an hour since Riley left the girl on her own. It was a terrifying experience but she knew it was worth it.

"took your fucking time" Cassie commented as the two girls jumped into the building, facing away from her. The girls voice made Ellie physically jump and made Riley smile

"couldn't have been the best night of your life without Cassie now could it" Riley tilted her head at the girl as they both turned to face Cassie who in turn held up the alcohol in a 'cheers' motion before taking a few sips and holding it out for her best friends who each took turns sipping it "alright, you two are gonna go through there, then turn right. You'll see a door, go through it and wait"

"fuck it" Cassie shrugged, pulling open the door she was stood next to then reaching her hand out and wiggling her fingers at Ellie

"no" Ellie shook her head

"fucking turn right, open the door and tell me when your there" Riley told ellie who just rolled her eyes and grabbed Cassie's hand who practically dragged her through the long hallways, they walked in silence, bodies bashing together since they walked so close to one another. Ellie held her flashlight out in front of them

"you know a mob of clickers could get us right now, all unarmed and defenceless" Cassie joked, bumping her shoulder against Ellies

"dont fucking say that dude" Ellie groaned

"im kidding" Cassie chuckled, leaning down slightly to whisper in Ellies ear, her breath making the hairs on Ellie's skin stand up "ill fight them all off for you"

"are you there!" Riley asked

"were here, now what?" Ellie called back, her flashlight flickering off. Cassie just let out a soft gasp at the sight before her, leaning on the railing as she looked out at the dark mall. This was the closest she had ever been to experiencing life before the outbreak. A whirring generator caught Ellie's attention, standing beside Cassie.

Lights started flickering on, lighting up each corner of the mall. Cassie let out a sigh, leaning her head on her open palm, her elbow resting on the metal pole.

"so" Riley spoke up, standing the other side of Cassie "what do you think"

"its... its fucking.. wait. the lights" Ellie asked worriedly

"its fine, you saw outside. its like a big bunker"

"a big, unusually beautiful bunker" Cassie commented.

so obviously there all 16 in this, just wanted to make that very clear.

but im not sure how i feel about this. i dont know whether i love or hate it
